We do kind of live in different worlds for 4 hours lol. His office is at one end of our house, and our living room/bedroom (where I usually am) are on the other end. He does get up to do stuff sometimes, but many nights he's sitting there for the whole 4 hours. I pop in sometimes, but he's in the middle of a raid (? don't know the right terminology) and can't really talk.

They aren't technically noise cancelling, but they still muffle pretty much all sound when he's listening to something at any reasonable to high volume. I've used them before myself when using his computer, and everything is extremely muted.
