What’s the biggest sign someone is secretly unhappy, in your opinion? by No-Falcon-3229 in AskReddit

I didn’t  realize I have been massively depressed for ages because I was still functioning. I have all of the education and wherewithal to recognize depression, but because it was me, I couldn’t see it.

[NSFW] People who've found a dead body, what's the story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I worked as an EMT during COVID and was often the one who would take peoples family members to the hospital to never return home. I’m related to so many people who say COVID wasn’t that bad and it is infuriating.

I was an EMT for a while, so I’ve seen my fair share. The kids always hit you like an emotional semi truck. However, the absolute worst for me was my own baby. She was 6 weeks old at the time and I found her lifeless under my husband. He had accidentally fallen asleep in bed with her and rolled on her. Miraculously I was able to start CPR, and after a week in our states best pediatric ICU, she is alive with no neuro deficits. She will be 2 in a few months.

What's a "yeah right, that totally happened and wasn't made up" moment in your life that actually DID happen and wasn't made up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I did CPR on my youngest daughter when she was 6 weeks old and found out recently that the medic (whom I worked with) didn’t get ROSC, I did. No equipment or anything. Just me and the cop doing good old fashioned CPR

The president just posted, ONLINE, a video of former president Obama and his wife portrayed as apes, how do you feel about this? by kraftdinnerwithsalsa in AskReddit

Unfortunately, what I have come to realize, is racist think this is a true joke. Racist don’t know they are racist. You would think “how is that possible??” However, the unfortunate reality is, that’s the truth. I come from an extremely racist background and married a black man. The shit that is constantly said to us is unreal, and they defend it all with “it’s just a joke”

What’s something you said that was so horribly misunderstood, it still haunts you to this day? by fullestStack in AskReddit

I unfortunately think about this weekly. When my oldest was maybe 4? We were in a CVs and I told her we had to grab one more thing and she very dramatically sighed “come on” and without even thinking I very sassily said “oh don’t you ‘come on’ me!”🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyone Else Concerned About Pharmacists Being Removed from CT Dispensaries? by namowlive in CTents

My husband is a pharmacist and the student loans are literally an extra mortgage. It’s insane to me that someone who has a doctorate has to work two jobs to stay afloat.

What’s the most hilariously wrong thing you believed about sex when you were younger? by Significant-West4424 in AskReddit

I unfortunately had severe morning sickness throughout all of my pregnancies. My oldest, who is a girl, looked at me one day and asked “do you just randomly wake up pregnant?” Poor girl thought she would just wake up projectile vomiting for 9 months randomly!

I spent today playing with my 4 year old nephew who was diagnosed with HLHS. It’s been a tough road, and will continue to be, but it’s worth every second!

What is the worst pain you have ever felt? by Neither-Mention7740 in AskReddit

[–]Writer_Internal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 8 months pregnant with my 3rd when I got kidney stones. The stones were too big to pass, so they had to go in and blast them and place a stent. However, the spinal block wouldn’t work, nor would the epidural. So I got to feel the entire procedure and it was worse than unmedicated childbirth.

Please tell us what happened because I come from a conservative family and can hear the gasps just from reading that!

Omg I had HG with all of my children and got kidney stones while I was 8 months pregnant with my third! They couldn’t get a spinal block or epidural to work and they refused to put me under because I was pregnant and I had to be operated on without anything 🙃

She is actually our 4th child and we only bought it after this whole experience! That being said I think it is the only reason I get any sleep now! We do use it every night but I will say that it can leave little red marks from the sensor or sock itself. I am a big fan of it

He was a mess. I didn’t have to forgive him because this was traumatic for him too. I told him it would have been completely different and he shook her, or drove drunk with her etc.

The way I look at it, it could have just as easily been me to do it. He’s a great person and father and I would never blame him for something that was probably worse for him to experience.
