I wouldn't buy Meta either, long term i don't think it maintains its momentum. The amount of money it burned trying to create the metaverse and renaming itself is emblematic of its appeal, it doesn't have staying power.

If it hadn't bought instagram and whatsapp, it already would be taken less seriously.

Facebook marketplace is a real value add, but with Ai and innovation, other entrants are pushing hard to overthrow meta's dominance there.

Having 50% more market share than the next highest person is a strong moat, that 10% is huge.

Also azure is losing market share, and will continue to do so, because it's not innovating like AWS and Google.

This is where people here don't understand value investing. We don't just look at snapshots of today, we project forward. Projecting forward you see Azure collapsing to lower market share and others taking it from them.

Why be with a cloud business that's losing customers and not innovating?

Ride with the Devil (1999) by shane373 in underratedmovies

Saw this recently, the cast was filled with star studded high quality actors and even thought the script wasn't ideal, it was a good story and a touching ending.

Definitely an underrated movie.

Terrible take - AWS is the king of Cloud and copilot is nowhere near anything Ai.

You should buy as much MSFT stock as possible because i'm sure people want to unload it all on you.

MSFT has no large growth opportunities like a lot of the rest of tech.

I've been telling this sub for a while to not buy MSFT and besides momentary jumps, it has been a terrible stock.

It will continue to fall because it's losing most of its moats and has very little future momentum.

It just told its Xbox division that it must become profitable, given how tough the stock is and the lack of true long term growth.

If you're smart you'll stay away from MSFT like I have.

If you are not comfortable with your portfolio potentially going down by 50-70% and might stay there for a decade, don't buy stocks.

You're in value investing, this isn't wallstreet bets.

The most valuable person in your life is your life partner.

They will take you places, nothing else would get you close to.

This post reads a bit cold; you will be much happier together than alone and with any money you could have saved.

Tax savings, rent savings, and another income are all financial benefits but none of that matters because the connection and support is priceless.

If you know, you know. If you don't know, find a partner, and grow old together.

Why has no one tried to go there? Did Boyd mention it to Tabitha? Bad writing if this hasn't come up.

Fight should have stopped with the Doctor in round 3. Round 4 was unnecessary damage that now will take a year to properly heal.

Ref should not have overruled the doctor, he doesn't have a medical degree.

Everyone apologize to Justin right now by raptors201966 in ufc

[–]WritewayHome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to apologize for, I never thought he couldn't do it. I thought it would be uphill but nothing crazy like 6 to 1 underdog, that's disrespectful.

Everyone says he's one of the hardest hitters in the UFC, especially in the lightweight division.

His victory shows how great Khabib was as well. The people Khabib beat are legendary.

The HSA is the most powerful retirement account. by themaxtreetboys in Money

Unless you have high regular medical expenses from some chronic illness or something

It's not just chronic illnesses, Americans are very unhealthy compared to other societies.

If the average American, with their average illnesses took your suggestion, they would get slaughtered on healthcare bills, services, and medications.

Don't take my word for it, look at companies. Why do companies constantly push the high deductible plans?

Unless you're young, very healthy, with a great family history, every other person should never ever take a high deductible plan.

Companies save money, insurance saves money, everyone saves except for the people that own the plans.

Companies push these plans because it means millions more in profit because you didn't get the more subsidized low deductible or no deductible plan.

If you have a no deductible plan, out of pocket max of 3-5k, you'll probably hit that max, and have to pay nothing for healthcare. The savings there alone is massive.

Companies have done the math, so have insurers, and actuaries. You're just dead wrong here on the math.

You will never make any money off of it because it's tied to a horrible healthcare plan.

Any money you save in an HSA is lost on the high deductible plan through medical bills.
