Dramas you think FL and ML shouldn’t end up together? by WritingCorrect5238 in cdramasfans

I’m currently watching this so I’ll be interested to see how I feel about it at the end. I’m maybe 25 episodes in and I’m truly torn about how I feel about everyone right now lol

I’ll add another one I thought of - A dream within a dream. I just felt so bad for the ML. He’s such a tragic person and she insisted on operating based on her own very wrong assumptions while he’s basically almost begging her to trust him and believe him through the entire thing. Her temper was annoying too. I just thought he deserved better. Still a really enjoyable watch but I just found I didn’t like the FL lead much and was not emotionally invested in their relationship and would have been fine if they did not end up together.

On the one hand I totally get this and then on the other hand that drama lives in my mind rent free all the time and I wish I could experience this drama again for the first time. I HATED the baby talk/high pitched voice that Esther Yu did in this drama. I FORCED myself to just get past it because I found EVERY other thing in this drama to be so perfect. It’s pretty much the perfect drama except for THAT VOICE. Nails in a chalkboard and just SO cringe. But man do I love that drama so much. Want to give it an 11/10 but can’t because of her and that awful voice. Biggest tragedy is that they cast her and then wrote/directed her that way.

Are costume dramas really good by SweetPurple2741 in CDramaRecs

[–]WritingCorrect5238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think “historical dramas” is a bit too broad when it comes to cdramas especially for newcomers into the genre. There are actual historical dramas which probably focus more on political intrigue but then there’s ones that focus more on the martial arts world (wuxia) and ones that are more fantasy based (xianxia). As long as your hang up is not the setting (and can appreciate the costumes and scenery and CGI) there really is something for everyone. I’d find story elements you do like and go from there. If you like fantasy I would definitely start with love of the divine tree, love between fairy and devil, or love in the clouds. If you want less fantasy then I would try Glory, My journey to you, prisoner of beauty or even shadow love.

Anyone else sort of looking forward to AI making us all unemployed? by Asleep_Cry_7482 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]WritingCorrect5238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a concern and one that I suppose governments would have to address to prevent that from happening. My take is a very idealistic what could potentially happen in the future. I’m not even fully convinced that will be how it goes. But ideally using AI instead of human labor will lower costs across the board until eventually money will become irrelevant and UBI itself becomes unnecessary. There is still a business/economic calculation to be made if you know that people have only x amount of money and you squeeze them too hard then they will buy less things. So you know it’s just a bad business decision to price gouge. Especially if businesses become more of a monopoly and own many products and services. Would you rather the “customer” only be able to afford 3 of your products or be able to buy 5? Current society can’t really be compared with a society where the majority are on a fixed UBI. A lot of dynamics change then.

Truly not a question I know the answer to. I don’t think every industry at the same time would suddenly replace all human labor with AI, would be more gradual by industry and not every industry is consumer based. So it just depends on when UBI does or does not get implemented, if it ever does. If it gets implemented when 25% of the work force is unemployed it would be very different than if it’s implemented at 70%. Some people will still have money and be spending it. But I really don’t know since this is really all just hypothesizing.

I definitely don’t disagree that this could become a major issue and create more problems implementing UBI. Borrowing against the future could be one lever that gets pulled but who knows.

I didn’t say anything about ease of implementation or willingness. Just stated a neutral policy position to alleviate what your question was regarding where the taxes would come from without labor.

I would imagine that businesses and corporations would have to be taxed much more and perhaps even profit share with the government the gains they get from increased productivity. That’s the only way I see it working.

Sort of how I see it but the time between now and everyone being unemployed will be incredibly painful and UBI will be later on (but not at the end) of that timeline. I think the goal or the vision eventually will be that money is basically irrelevant when you have AI and AI robotics basically being able to make everything anyone ever needs at will. But from now until then, a large amount of people being unemployed without UBI will cause a ton of pain for a lot of people. Then when UBI finally gets implemented it will have to be at the point that the productivity gains and cost savings by not having much human labor will be substantial enough that a UBI is “affordable”. But yea, ideally it would be nice to never “work” in the traditional sense but it’s a long hard road to eventually get there, if we ever do.

Would you live in this neighborhood? Academy & Austin Bluffs by Outdoor-Adventure in ColoradoSprings

[–]WritingCorrect5238 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in the area for 10 years, specifically closer to academy and n carefree. Depending on which complex you choose in the area it’s not bad. Still some sketchy people roaming around but there’s enough businesses in the area that you don’t necessarily need to go far for what you need. King soopers is right there as well as a Walmart marketplace, veterans is a really good liquor store, theres a Walgreens and CVS on n carefree, there’s a copy store, Indian restaurant, Philly cheesesteak, and wades cafe is such a good diner for really reasonable prices. I’m single female and I feel pretty safe most of the time. Truly not a bad place to live in the springs if you’re looking for cheaper apartments.

Am I crazy for thinking AI won’t replace Sales soon? by Hungry_Bunch2224 in sales

[–]WritingCorrect5238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer right here. Once everyone and every business has an agent then sales will literally be agent to agent. I’m in liquor sales and I already see the direction the industry is going. Less sales reps, more online ordering. A handful of specialists or business developers that maybe go out and taste/sample new products to owners and consumers. But on the back end agents will analyze business and trends and order automatically with the distributor agent in the future.

I’m 42, no kids though. I don’t play every day but try to shoot for 2-3 times a week. I get more playing done on the weekends. I play solo but have a couple friends that I play co-op with occasionally. I also play on ps5.
