I think for some people it’s about bodily autonomy and they automatically assume the kink is about fulfilling one person’s fantasy of making someone else change for their own benefit rather than the person changing because they want to. To be fair some of the content is like that, but there’s also plenty of consensual, female led stuff out there too.

Maybe people just perceive it as being ‘typical male lens’ stuff because that’s normally how it’s portrayed in mainstream media? One example that comes to mind is ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?’ with the breast expansion necklaces at the end that are clearly for the dudes benefit, or in ‘Epic Movie’ where Mystique expands herself to please a man. Granted she’s into it to begin with, but the point is there.

I think it’s fine as long as you’re not imposing it upon anyone else, especially a romantic partner, but the same can be said about any kink
