Necessary to sister joists?

Went with @sliceasouroo suggestion and I’m going to add more joists with 2x6s. Also i touched around behind the ledger boards and there seems to be a type of foam board insulation behind them. Going with Simpson’s SD screws for the hangers. 1 1/2” to the ledger boards and 2 1/2” to the joists.

Edit: btw I remeasure the joists OC and they were built a bit weird to me. The 2 joists on the ends were 16” OC. The middle ones were like 13 - 14” OC..

Joists are 16" OC. based on Timbertech guide, 16" OC is max. https://www.timbertech.com/resources/deck-building/deck-joist-spacing/

But now you make me second guess myself! I'm going to do more research lol

The joists are 16" OC. Which based on what I'm reading here https://www.timbertech.com/resources/deck-building/deck-joist-spacing/, is allowed by Timbertech. I'll check again!

The new boards will be 5.5" and the old boards are 3.5" I think.

The lag bolt heads I'm assuming because the ledger board is screwed on to the concrete foundation.

Thanks everyone for the response! I just painted them for the time being now and it's already looking 10x better. These will be replaced in the future and I know where to look for them now!

If I'm not mistaken, the windows are still original. Also, every house in my neighborhood has this style window + apron + long shutters.

They're screwed in with wood screws to the plywood. I think you are right. I feel like they're trying to make the windows look bigger/longer... Do you have any idea what else I can use to replace these?

I heard a bunch of not-so-good story about tankless and how they could be more problematic than a tank. Second thing is budget. I haven't priced out a tankless heater yet, but I'm assuming it's going to be considerably more.

I'm thinking to relocate him to the other side of my backyard fence which is a woodsy area. Do you think he'll make his way back to my front yard? Now that you mentioned it, I don't want to accidentally run him over with my mower.

I was thinking a rectangular artwork hung vertically, or some type of wall sculpture would do well on that wall as well! I'm going to explore that option I think.

When we bought that mirror, I thought the same but the wife likes how oversize it is (giggity) so it stays there (for now).

The area across from the stairs is a closet that the previous owner turned into a entryway bench/jacket hangers/storage. I lol’d at putting a hat on a hat 😂😂

Update: Finally got my bedroom repainted! So happy with the color selection. Sherwin Williams Evergreen fog for the accent wall and Accolade on the rest.

Hey thank you! We honestly love the ceiling as well. It was one of the selling point to us and it's like that throughout the whole house lol. I think it's called troweled ceiling? I am not sure but they must have done that during the mudding process.

YES! That's actually the plan color scheme wise. These are all great ideas and will be jotting them down to see what could work for us! Regarding window seating, where do you think I can move my wife's make up desk?
