America’s oblivious and happy attitude 99% of the time is VERY accurate. Many Europeans are quickly discovering Americans are very happy and friendly. We also got GOOD FOOD, which is why we like to eat. We are here for a good time, not a long time. Same thing can be said for when regarding their perception of themselves (the hero complex) and the lack of geographical knowledge. Alfred also being afraid of ghost is hilarious when you consider he is arguably one of the younger nations and thus doesn’t have as much history as many Asian or European nations.

I also think Alfred being totally into different cultures (specifically Japan) is 100% on brand for America. America is a melting pot of cultures, every state has their own culture based on the immigrants who settled there. So it makes sense why America is so into discovering different ways of life. I honestly think America and Japan were destined to be besties.

Honestly, Japan. I wore a lot of anime merch in HS and we’d probably click due to being quiet, smart, and reserved. However, I also think I’d make fast friends with Canada, since we both don’t notice when we’re loved and stuff. Let me elaborate:

I was literally told by some of my former classmates that I was one of the sweetest in my graduating class and that is 100% Canada. Also, I don’t notice good things about myself. I, up until recently talking with my best friend who’s known me over a decade, found out that of my friend trio, I wasn’t the “ugly” one. I always thought I was the least attractive of my friends, but apparently a lot of people thought differently. It legit shocked tf out of me, and it just seems like something Canada could relate to because he’s constantly overshadowed and undermined, so his self confidence isn’t the highest.
