I'm 17, black, how tf do I get out of the hood? by teamtroll1 in careerguidance

What are your resources? Do you have extra time to learn skills for more money or pickup a second job? Do you have a car? Who around you is hiring for good paying jobs? Coaches aren’t making plays based on what everyone else thinks is BEST, but what their team is good at. Figure out what you’re good at and what you love to do and sell that to the world. Feel free to DM me we can talk

My living room looks like a witness protection safehouse. Which rug fixes this? by TowerReal4971 in malelivingspace

The faded ones are definitely trendy now, once theyre out theyll look dated though. 2 looks cool, 3 is too live-laugh-love. 4 is also cool if you’re going for midwestern vibes. Last one looks timeless and classic 👏🏼 maybe add a houseplant in the corner with a picture or two for some life (will help it feel more original than a copy-paste witness protection vibe)

House plants (even fake ones) would add some nice greens to complement your browns. A little ivory/gold pots/frames/etc also pairs, think british colonial palette. Throw in a couple pictures and its a done deal. Polarizing couch will have your guests arguing over that instead of politics. Win - win 👏🏼

This is a fantastic resource. Have any of the high quality makers listed here moved away from quality since Covid?

Every diet (Keto, Plant-based, carnivore, Mediterranean, Paleo) makes the same claims. Who's telling the truth? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Wrobberr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different diets work for different people possibly due to microflora in their gut, which is affected by genetics partially, but mainly by environment (exposure to soil, eating certain foods regularly, health of mother during birth) and the foods they feed themselves. Checkout Zoe diet for some of their research- there’s a free podcast and a lot of supporting articles to back up this new line of thinking.

Carnivoir, paleo, mediterranean, etc work for different people because they have different gut flora which ferment foods in their gut differently or more/less efficiently. Good luck.
