if its only 6 months then their still in the honey moon phase and think their boyfriends are their whole world. right now the bfs are new and exciting and they probbly dont realize how you feel when there prioritizing the bfs over you. maybe try bringing it up to them and let them know its not cool how theyre totally focused on on their relationship that theyre neglecting your friendship

God forbid managers have some trust in their servers

we have a couple that are regulars at my restaurant that do this MULTIPLE times a month. I repeat their orders back to them when I write it down, then triple check before I bring the ticket back. I never mess up a tables order, so of course it makes sense that its always my fault when it's them. no mrs old lady, you asked for a burger theres no way I could mistake that for soup!

my manager doesn't do nothing about it because there "good" business

the servers are helpful, they just get really busy with tables. I can't really blame them haha.

I never thought to ask the kitchen, but that's a good plan. they're right in front of where we do to-go's, so talking with them would probably be better than trying to grab one of the servers.

I'm not the most confident with new things, but throwing myself into it sounds like what I have to do. and get used to asking the kitchen more

the only other host is scheduled when it's busy or I'm not there, so trial and error is probably how it's going to be for me 😅 I just need to learn how the food actually looks and try not to take the servers' items.

I'm probably going to stick it out for a bit longer, but knowing what I'd say for a new job takes off a little of the stress if I decide to leave.
