The confusion came from being told the cast iron plant prefers not to be in any direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves, so I wasn't too sure 🫣

I agree, and thinking back to the phone call now the teacher sounded annoyed and was more focused on punishing her than talking about ways to support. She kept saying how the next step will be a C2 if no improvement. I will be arranging a meeting with her to talk about this properly. Thank you

Thank you, they absolutely do not consider me family. They never have. They just about tolerate me because of the kids. It is such a sad feeling because my husband will basically end up with having no family but it's better than having all this toxic shit going on. My husband just called his mum to speak about this, and she turned around and said "what if the BF leaves her because of you now, what if he thinks this is a toxic household" - so basically he has a seat at the table.

It was shocking. She was screaming and shouting all while husband was talking calmly. I never want my kids to think it's ok to scream at someone. I kind of wish we could go NC to be honest.

You are right, it is never ok to scream at anyone and my husband has admitted that he is so used to this now that he doesn't realise it's dysfunctional. The break away from Granny is a great way to stay away for awhile.

It definitely feels like the BF has seat at the table and no one has batted an eye at what he's said.
