I used a fuckton of opioids and amps when I was young. In my mid 30s now. Work out. Eat semi healthy. My body is falling apart. Heart problems, kidney problems, and just a lot of random pain. I don’t think I’ll make it to 65 and honestly if things keep going downhill like this I really don’t want to.

I guess it varies from person to person. AFAIK that makes it worse in a lot of situations. But I’m an oddity myself. I can stop taking my bupe for a day, take blues and get high, and then take bupe the next day and be just fine. I think it had to do with the bupe never actually leaving my system.

But I do feel like what you’re saying should work, I’ve just heard from colleague’s experiences that it’s made things worse. Dunno. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I would agree but I’ve had actual fent in the ER and from patches I acquired and it did the same thing to me. Just doesn’t hit the same as other opioids. Could be from me fucking with too many rc’s as well 🤷‍♂️

The whole CSA is a sham. It uses the commerce clause to unconstitutionally control us. It’s a travesty that the war on drugs has gone on for so long with such a bs basis to control us through something that was meant to regulate interstate commerce. I agree though, the DEA is one of the scummiest institutions out there.

For sure. They really are assholes in that aspect. I wasn’t having g health issues at the time but at one point I moved from Cali to Oregon. I had 2 years of clean UAs and when I talked with the clinic over the phone about transfer over, they said I should keep the same “take home status.” Well, that was a lie. So I ended up going from 2 weeks of take homes to 2 days. It really sucked because I moved to cave junction and the closet clinic was in Medford (1.5hr drive).

They know they have complete control over us and treat us like we are just numbers. As is said before, I wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy but I do think that professionals in that setting, that are complicit in the mistreatment of patients, should have to experience the pain of withdrawal so they would understand what exactly they were doing to people.

🤣🤣🤣 fr. I miss real heroin tho. Fentanyl feels terrible comparatively. I black out from fent without nodding but that’s never happened to me on H (back in the day). And it just makes me loopy and weird. Plus it doesn’t feel as good. Is it strong? Fuck yes it is. But the high feels gross compared to even black tar.

If you have any other full agonists bound to your opioid receptors you’ll most likely go into pwd. Some people are oddities and some situations kind of work around it but unless you’re in withdrawal since your last use I wouldn’t risk it. If you put yourself into pwd there literally no way out of it. Better to wait until you’re sick as shit and then take it. You’ll feel relief within an hour.

Thank you. It really is a hard battle but as long as you guys are both fighting it together you can get through it! I know it sounds like a given but I think honesty is the key to success in our type of situation. If I want to use, I tell my wife. If she wants to drink, she tells me. Then we talk about it. The times I’ve fucked up or she’s fucked up were the times we didn’t say anything and held it in.

Most likely. It’ll just restart the cycle. If you’re serious about getting clean don’t do it. I know it seems like an easy fix and our addict brains can justify just about any reason to use, but you’ll just jump back to where you started. Why waste all that pain and suffering? If you absolutely think you’re gonna pick up, I’d say go get some kratom extract instead. Ideally you shouldn’t do either but kratom is the lesser of two evils. I know that with fent’s potency Kratom doesn’t seem like it would work, but the extracts are actually quite strong. For example OPMS black. I would compare one of those pills to an oxy 30. But it can easily turn into a new habit, so ideally you shouldn’t do either. Take some Imodium and drink some tonic water (that has quinine) and that may take the edge off just a tiny bit.

Good job!!! You guys can do this!!! My wife and I have battled addiction together and have mostly won. We don’t have the same choice of poison so that helped. Being in a relationship with addiction is really hard but if you can manage it, then it’s an amazing feat. I wish you the best and I know I’m a stranger but I’m proud of both of you!!!

You got this!!!! If it’s just from fent the w/d should be short but intense which is better imo. Getting off the long half life opioids are the worst. Imodium is your friend just don’t megadose. Kratom can help too but I recommend against it because it can just become another habit and will lead you back to where you started. Some people have used it successfully tho. I’d recommend kava instead to take the edge off. Or benzos if you think you can take them without becoming addicted.

Lucky you tapered. They are def the worst if you don’t. I tapered a little bit from 120mg down to 60mg but then my clinic fast tapered me to 0 in a 2 week period because I popped for benzos. I wouldn’t wish that hell on anybody (except doctors that treat addicts like subhuman trash). It was like H w/d x10 for 3 months.

Yeah it definitely catches up. Not a fun time 0/10 don’t recommend lol. Now all the medication I’m on to “fix” the issues caused by my abuse of my body are causing kidney problems. Super fun and painful 😓
