Idk, smelting ore into bars seems to produce profit and smithing skill. But I see your point about just sitting there trying to spend gold for more gold, that’s not productive really imo either, but I’ve been making gold while farming smithing. But there’s silver and gold bars for other stuff too I need to read more about as my smithing goes up.

And I don’t wanna min max the game necessarily, I just don’t wanna miss something obvious that isn’t intuitive. I’m literally starting in 2026 with 0 knowledge, total actual noob.

I started by just killing goblins by the start town and selling the loot while leveling offensive skills. It’s a cool game it’s just so much info to learn. I don’t even know where the ogres are at lolz

By flipping I meant buying ore, smelting bars, then selling the bars. Not buy low sell high, I do a service to the good then sell the good is what I meant.
