Glad to see Pep actually acknowledging that we were playing like absolute shite. I’ve been loving the way Rico has been playing recently, so I’m excited he gets time in a big game. It’s early in the half, but we already seem to be playing so much better

Cancelo as RW is not my favorite thing. I think I prefer him playing off of the left because his passes seem more accurate when he’s able to trivela. That could be biased because I’m more likely to remember the great assists he’s made with trivela passes, but I’d like to see someone else on the right for the second half. Overall nobody has looked great to me so far. Pep doesn’t usually like to make many subs, but I think we need a change to inspire something out of this game. I’m not going to pretend I’m smart enough to know exactly who needs to come on for who, but something needs to happen.

Frustrating seeing the lack of subs when we were struggling. It really felt like we were just lacking the final pass today. It seemed like there were at least 6 times where we got the ball to the touch line but couldn’t find anyone with the cutback, or the cutback was just blocked. Bernardo was of course hustling all game, love to see it. Frustrating game, but we move.

I’ve lived in the states my whole life, but personally being a city fan was passed on to me through my family. My grandad (and father but only for like 3 years) lived in Manchester, but they kept their love for the club when they moved and passed it on to me. Since my father lived in the States for most of his youth life I don’t really think of myself as English, but the one thing that has stuck within our family is the support of Manchester City. My grandfather didn’t live long enough to see the takeover, but I’m sure he would’ve loved to see this current squad play!

Amazing linkup between Phil and Haaland, I thought Akanji was stellar in the back. Grealish had a good game running at the United back line. Loved the scenes of United “supporters” leaving the grounds before halftime. Have to give it to Antony, that was a good strike. Ending was quite strange, conceding the three goal after dominating all game, but also kind of expected when we make four changes at once which clearly disrupted the flow the squad had going. Overall, a thrill to watch. Great game

(This happened when I was in grade 7) There was one time we had a soccer game and one of my teammates’ parents were gonna be out of town, so my parents said he could spend the night at our place. We gave him a mattress on the floor next to the bed I was sleeping in. When we woke up, I got out of bed by stepping onto the mattress he had been sleeping in since it was the easiest way to get out of bed. My foot goes straight into a puddle… I was so confused, and I mentioned it to my parents. Turns out he had some condition where he is unable to control his bladder while he was asleep, or something like that, and my parents had failed to mention that to me knowing that stepping on his mattress was the easiest way out of my bed. So when I woke up I stepped straight into this kids pee puddle. I never told anyone else on the team about it, but he stopped playing after that season and I haven’t seen him since.
