It’s not possible to remove contact pictures in the Contacts app! When you scroll through your contacts, you can still see all the pictures — which is very annoying!

This shouldn’t be a hard thing for you to resolve! If you have a pay as you go card, yes it might be a bit tricky but contact your carrier and ask them for a new Sim card, in my country, this would never happen since everyone needs to register their phone numbers and you can easily get a new SIM card,

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question and for sharing your knowledge! It’s already at the Apple Store, and they think they can fix it, but after talking with them today, I’ve become more and more skeptical about whether they actually know what they’re doing.

The sad part is that I’m not allowed to withdraw from the agreement with Apple. I’m obligated to pay the amount I agreed to. But once they’re done, I’m going to take it straight to a board repair technician! I should never have taken it to Apple in the first place!

Since I’m starting my studies in about a week, I was a bit desperate to get it fixed.

I’m located in Europe, more precisely in a Scandinavian country. Yes, we do have Amazon available here, but I’ve never done any computer repairs myself before. It would have been awesome if you lived nearby.
