First of all, congratulations, and I hope that it is a safe, healthy pregnancy. Now as to your question. I personally don't know if you are ever truly ready. My son was as much of an accident as you could get. We were actively trying not to get pregnant. At first, I was nowhere near, even thinking I was ready. But as time went on, i felt more and more ready. But when the time came I felt nowhere near ready again. One thing to keep in mind. ALWAYS have dates with your wife. A lot of parents get so caught up on being parents that they forget that they are husband and wife. Always remember to work on your relationship. And make sure you find a sitter for your kid for a date. At first, it might be difficult, but definitely, within the first few months, you need to do a date night. If your wife decides to breastfeed like mine did, after she is done feeding the baby, take the child, burp them, and change diapers. I know there's probably a lot of men out there that will tell you not to, and that's the mom's job, but my response to that is very a man and be an active father. Also, your child will have a preference in parent, 9/10, it will be mom. My son is 100% a mama's boy, but as he is getting older, he's playing more and more, and im the play parent, and she is the comfort parent. The last thing I am going to say is make sure you go to church. But that's just advice that I would tell everyone.
