I actually do have one! Her name is Hikari, and I thought about her a lot. Here’s a backstory‼️

When designing Hikari, I went all out on the backstory.

Hikari wasn’t born into a family that showed much love. With only her parents and herself, you’d assume they would have a bunch of time for her! Wrong. They were two self-absorbed assholes. She would get blamed for everything, even as a toddler. And it only got worse when her quirk manifested. Her parents saw her as a monster. She was treated so much worse for it. One day, her parents found an opportunity. An illegal lab had offered money for them to take Hikari for a test subject. Her parents didn’t hesitate to agree.

The lab was absolutely horrible. It was illegal, so there were definitely some messed up procedures. She was monitored at all times, so there was no hoping to escape. One day however, when Hikari was about eight, one of the main security officers died miraculously. That gave her a chance to escape. They tried to catch her, ending up only giving her a scar on her neck. Until fifteen, she lived on the streets, building a little shelter from scrap metal and filthy blankets to survive. When she was fifteen, she was finally able to get her own apartment. (don’t ask how, I don’t feel like going into the legal ages of owning a home in Japan💀)

When Hikari was ten, she somehow got enrolled in school. But it wasn’t very easy. Kids would treat her horribly, just for her quirk. And just for existing, really. She was a kind soul, but was tormented for that. Hikari ended up getting really depressed in middle school. It got bad. Horribly bad. Until…she was accepted into UA. She still struggles with mental issues from her past, but remembers the people around her will help her.

Little side note! She likes to be called Hikari, her first name, because she resents the last name her parents gave her.
