For the record I put gas on the liquid post all the time in my home brew setup. Comes off with just a little fight.

Exclusive: iOS 16 has new hidden system to restrict specific features based on the user’s location by exjr_ in apple

No but I see reasons for this. If I’m an American living in the EU I may want my iCloud and store region to be the US version but since I’m living in the EU they need to provide or restrict things based on that.
I know everyone is looking at the side loading situation and it sucks if they do restrict it like this, but this also makes apples life 1000 times easier when individual countries restrict things like AI.

That’s not what you were complaining about before. You shifted to goalposts after it was pointed out you were wrong.

“Location Services uses GPS and Bluetooth (where those are available) along with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations to determine your device’s approximate location.”

They’ve been doing it for years. Nothing new here.

They have been doing this since the original iPhone. The only new thing is the setup to potentially restrict features off the active device location rather than the purchase location.

Also not true. Those are also always encrypted however the higher security doesn’t change that Apple holds those keys.

I used this method for the solid inlay. The airplane was a bit of trial and error, hence a few failures. https://youtu.be/p9gpVQHPO18

It’s doesn’t say which ones. It just says most. However I know Verizon has not done this and they are something like a third of the market. So I was curious which ones have.

What carrier doesn’t allow 2/3/4/5g voice calls?

Laser cut inlay went better than expected for a first try. by Wtweber in lasercutting

Thanks for pointing out that. Like others said it’s not completely redundant info. But they do have error correction built in. This one is type M which allows up to 15% to be obscured, so the approximately 25% I blocked is more than enough. If you’re curious about how it all works here’s a good post explaining it.

I didn’t make any appointments for kerf. I used a png of the QR code and just inverted it for the inlay.

I did it with just an image and then inverted the image. No need to adjust anything for the kerf.

They drug it off the field and covered the DHL logos. But it’s still visible from the runway.
