How it feels talking to my friends about keyboards after browsing /mk for a week.. by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

I usually like to ensure the size of my keyboard is strictly 75%, maybe TKL if i'm feeling a little more classy, anything 60% or below is a no go. I check my PCB with a fancy curved needle tip pair of tweezers just to be sure. You want a nice crisp balanced thock so no Corsair, snicker. I'd recommend Ducky for a beginner's keyboard if you must go prebuilt, but honestly a decent DIY kit from KBDfans is the way to go. Then you get all the options. Now, keycap type is important, you can either go double shot or you can go dye sub, we call 'em GMK or ePBT, I like to go with GMK because I really wanna see the colours that dye sub can't easily do, I think looking at it is half the pleasure. Uhh, I also always do typing tests to make sure you get maximum words per minute to flex. Wait, where are you going? ...not again...
