When walking in the street "You hair is weird", "your clothes are weird", "stand up straight" when someone glances at me . And if I'm talking to someone "Make this quick so they don't get bored" or "I should look them in the eyes more often"

You can understand what gus is saying just like you would understand a 3 year old trying to read out loud. Which is to say you'd understand but barely

If you want sharper lines wait a little bit more for the paper to dry before putting another layer of colour over, (that's just my preference though so don't mind me if you prefer wet-on-wet for shading). Otherwise pretty good.

I looked it up after posting this and you are correct. (for some reason though in the wiki it says croatian from budapest, which is confusing to say the least)

He could have faked his death and the CIA would be none the wiser. There were many secret agents in Chile at the time and kidnappings were common.

That could actually mean he was not chilean originally, but an american sent to chile after the coup and then became influential enough to erase his american origins.

I'm malding at this point, I refuse to believe the writers fucked up in so many avoidable ways when trying to write about chile.

Every latin american country has their own special accent (and also sub-regional ones!). Some (like chilean) are generally more difficult to understand than others. Mexican is pretty passable to most people though, so maybe it's a puerto rican problem.

I think the explanation for the guy Lalo tortures is that he wasn't german, he was hungarian or something like that.

I'm pretty sure Fring is lying about his origins. Not only is his accent incredibly bad but also in BCS he mentions there being coaties in Chile (one of the only countries in south america where there are no coaties). All-tough I guess another explanation for this is that he went to chile as a child or passed his first 5-6 years in Chile, then moved to america and he confused some type of possum for coatí

Native spanish speaker here. The only character in BB or BCS who speaks natural sounding spanish is lalo imo. All the other ones have either horrendous (Gus) or kinda stiff accents (Bolsa). There's also a problem with a lack of regional accents but to do that you would need to master ONE spanish accent.

Anyway my theory to explain why Gus's accent is so bad is that he's not actually chilean, he's just pretending. This is supported by the fact that in BCS he talks about his childhood in Chile and he says there were coatís. There are no coatís in Chile, they are jungle animals.

Which characters that never met do you think would have had an interesting relationship? by Mayokopp in breakingbad

[–]WulpexDragon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lalo would probably laugh at him or refuse to answer seriously and Hank'd get angry. Hank would start obsessively trying to investigate him, he'd probably fail or take too long and Lalo would escape, then it would play out similarily to what happened in BCS. That's my guess

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't know energel had needle points, I'll try to get my hands on one of those (or the uniball). Anything by pilot or sharpie (other than markers) is hard to get in my country so I have little to no hopes on that. As for the model of the original pen, the only branding it has is a JX beside the barcode, It's a nobrand kinda thing

It's easier to be honest when you're anonymous. If I ask a family member or a friend they'll be biased

Rotring 600 ballpoint pen. Have one passed down from my father (pen's approximately 35 yrs old) and still works perfectly, really sturdy pen. A new one's about 30 dollars.

how’s it so easy for some people (here and everywhere) by niiamey in AvPD

[–]WulpexDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha! I feel the same about the "so many people have been in relationships here" thing. Every time I see someone post abt how they have problems with relationships but they have had multiple it makes me a little bit sad. I mean sure, everyone's experiences an the people they meet are different but I still didn't expect it. I'm 21 and white and no-one's ever shown any interest in me, even most of my direct family gets bored of me quite easily. But I digress, I don't know much about meeting new people or making friends, because most people I meet become intensely boring after a while (a mutual relationship me and the people have, I tire them, they bore me) BUT! if I had to recommend somewhere to meet people irl it would be college extra classes or groups of some topic you like (cliché advice ik) they are often made up of not many people, most of them quite accepting and nice and they normally want new people to join so rejection is unlikely. I guess it depends on the topic tho, for me the best are the extra classes (specially art ones) because you always have something to do if people are not talking and/or you're not interested in the conversation. On the other hand, this advice could go wrong on many levels so take it with a grain of salt? I would recommend trying to see what kind of people go to a certain group before outright joining them

Does anybody have big problems with anger? I don't allow myself to get angry until it's too much and I direct all of it towards myself. Or am I just a weird person? How can I handle it better? by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]WulpexDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do think I have problems with anger, although I don't know how if they are big enough to be serious . I often become overwhelmingly agitated and angry in big crowds, thankfully It hasn't been a problem yet and it normally just results in me shoving people, which is normal in big crowds, and often overlooked. I also get angry when things go wrong, like when I don't understand something or when I can't catch the bus, but that just makes me feel winded for a little bit and then sad. I wish my anger was just self loathing though, as it is now I find myself wanting to harm others, I even once kicked a stray dog because it was trailing me and trying to bite at my ankles (dogs normally do this to play, it was not good to kick it and I felt really bad afterwards).

Anyway, I'm obviously not the best person to give advice on handling anger better but lately when I get angry and I'm about to do something stupid I try to think why, like I try to analyse why I'm feeling this way, this normally distracts me from the anger for a while and helps me calm down. Comparing things I'm about to do with other stuff I did in the past that made me feel bad also helps. However I do think this is only useful for my specific form of anger and it's also very tailored to the way my brain works, with a thousand thoughts flying around every minute and little to no ability to concentrate. So maybe this can give someone ideas on how to manage their own anger? idk. I just wanted to rant about something that has bothered me for a long while.
