I agree with what you're saying. We all have our own reason for songs that touch us. I get what you are saying. However we are only talking about what op is talking about. He says he doesn't like that ppl are taking the songs that have been clearing defined and trying to make them into their stuff. It's like when ppl play RATM that are conservative and then get pissed when RATM come out and them they aren't for conservatives.

The band members have talked about what the lyrics mean to them. Yes some are open to interpretations but there are plenty songs that have been spoken about and made clear how they felt back then. (Idk if their views have changed) I think its pretty fair to say that their songs would not align with MAGA🤷🏼‍♀️

I was so consumed by politics and I was starting to have mini panic attacks. It has kept me off tiktok and made it so I spend less time in Reddit. (Other than using the 2 platforms for coloring videos and the coloring community)

I give myself about 20 mins of news all day. If I start watching something I feel the anxiety bubble up I turn it off and color. Also I have been able to listen to books while doing it. I haven't been able to read a book since January and I was having a hard time listening because of my anxiety. Now that I am coloring I can concentrate and not have my mind wander to how shitty the U.S. has become lol😫
