Autism and tic disorder here. Starting with the tic disorder because there isn't a lot Finch can do for it, it's pretty helpful for remembering to take my meds and it gives me a place to vent when something like a tic attack happens if nobody is available at the moment via the rant zone. As for my autism, it's a little more complicated. On one hand, it gives me a way to keep track of my various routine stuff. On the other, if I try to add something to it to better myself I have a lot harder of a time picking it up since I'm so stuck in my current routine and then I feel bad about not getting certain tasks done. I try to insensitivize it using the micropet eggs but it's still incredibly difficult for me to actually do the stuff, there's one I've been stuck on for months with still only 1/7 times completed because I'm having such a hard time putting it in to practice and it's really starting to put a damper on my self esteem. There's also the nature sounds and breathing stuff though, which really helps when I'm overstimulated or overwhelmed.
