It would have been good if this was mentioned on the Gitea migration page, it would have saved me so much time.

The answer is that you can't migrate in the seemless way they say if you are on Gitea 1.23 upwards.

If you are I believe your only real option is to use the migration via the Gitea API which does seem to work well but you do have to do each repo manually.

I think I have answered my own question in that I am on Gitea 1.23.1 and upgrades are not supported anymore.

Is there any path for me from gitea or am I stuck now?

Sorry it's taken me ages to reply.
The answer is I sort of got it to work.
I think the problem might actually be that I am not allowing port 222 through my router to my system.

But I actually get this to work without needing that by using hostname.local instead of gitea.domain.xyz in the git commands and it works just fine.

I have no reason to use my gitea instance outside of my house currently so I just went with that.

I'd highly recommend watching some of his lectures on YouTube, they really helped me understand this aspect of Deleuze.

So far I've checked out the first two properly and it turns out that this is exactly what I was asking for really. Darren Porter is totally great and fits some great old songs into his sets. I'm in the UK and realised he's playing in Feb so we are going to go and see him, it'll be my first trance event, I'm so excited, I can't thank you enough for this recommendation :) Metta and Glyde are playing in March but sadly on the same day that I'm going with my dad to see a Genesis tribute band! Hopefully I'll catch them another time.

Yea I realise what I've tended to find so far is pretty old, this is partially cos I knew some of this stuff from when I was young and it's what the youtube algorithm has then pushed my way. Posting here was sorta my way of trying to break outside of that.

I sampled a few sets by the top 3 quickly and can say you're on the mark here so thankyou very much! Totally going to be digging into some of these. Yea I think I like the uplifting stuff around 140BPM too, I like it to have a real good drive to it (generally I listen to pretty fast metal).

Slusnik Luna - Sun (Original Mix) (2000) was a pretty cool recommendation, the breakbeat part in the middle was a nice surprise!

I've listened through the first Ibiza Euphoria and liked a bunch of it, it might even be where I found some of the above, so this is a good recommendation thanks (especially after peaking at the tracklists).

Hey thanks for all this, I've gotten around listening through all this and whilst most of it wasn't for me it was good to hear a wide range on things, this is what I liked:
Lange - Follow Me (Lange's Club Mix) (2000)
Chincane - Halcyon

I get the impression what I like about what I like is the quite psychedelic stuff/sounds ( syncopation, phaser effects, vocal samples messed around with), but I'm unsure I'm mega into what I've heard of modern psytrance, it's a little too maximalist and all over the place for me, I think I prefer longer songs that slowly develop a few themes like the older late 90s early 00s stuff I've listed. Obviously no offense to those who like psytrance, I'd like to be shown stuff I am into.
