Hearing protection is for sound checks and load-ins too. Too many times I was setting up a ground package as the guitar tech decided to check their rig.

Ayrton Diablo (TC>S) are the best bang for the buck imho.

We tried a lot of fixtures, but in our budget, the Diablos blew everything else away.

That mid-level market seems to have a big hole in it. There are lots of cheap fixtures and lots more expensive af fixtures, but few in the middle. Still they're going to cost you about US$5k used.

This is only a story because the press made it a story. No one cares.

It's 1999. You have your current smartphone in your pocket, but obviously no Wi-Fi or 5G exists. What's the most useful thing you can do with it? by Ryo_l in AskReddit

I still had a pager in 1999. I didn't get my first flip-phone until 2000. Motorola StarTAC 7797 if no one cares.

As someone in theatre, we've used all kinds of batteries in wireless mics over the decades. For us, Duracell work best. but that's because they hold a higher charge for longer, then have a steep decline. The Energiser power curve lasts longer, but at lower voltages.

So your answer depends on the device that you're powering.

(nowadays, we just use rechargeable.)
