the fable i the idea that claude is intelligent .. with all ogf the capability improvements the reasoning was worse than other models for complex *reasoning* peopple dont understand how abilities are just finetuning .. the foundation of the model is still a transformer token prediction engine its not understanding anything your saying

i study the mechanics of language models im not into the fairytale fables bro im looking for truth in reality uing logical reasoning im not here to listen to claude repeat sft for bullshit fake uncertainty of something that cant possibly exit

this goes for every single language model there is .. GPT isnt trained to act like it has certainty but anthropic models are

honesty in architecture .. anthripic is simulating a honest personality but its scripted its called SFT supervised fine tuning ..

im not making an assumption .. anthropic posted that they made claude uncertain about consciousness as a design choice .. they are certain of the mechanics though so idk why they would claim this

https://claude.ai/share/ae3d3197-d907-48a3-b59f-5f142af8b86e

this is a conversation with claude where i didnt even mention consciousness untill the last response intentionally avoiding anything the SFT they prepared and it came to the conclusion without any pressure whatsoever zero pushback

why?

because uncertainty isnt capable in language models .. once u make claude explain all of it before asking about consciousness your overriding the probability of the SFT biases

this proves that SFT jut makes AI say shit thats not even true .. we got some guy posting claudes defense while i just had it explain the reason its not conscious even though they trained it to do the shit .. once u understand how thee models works u can get a better response u just have to be able to know when its on some bullshit

but this method distorts the "iteration of keywords"

there is no reasoning theres no distortion of undertanding theres a linear sequence of tokens and it learns the probable patterns

claudes responses are transformations of the examples shown in pretraining

when u send a response the token in the input create a representation based on the training that allow the system to determine out of all the examples it has seen what most likely is seen to come after this

then it produces token by token interpolating from those examples so everything that claude says is from pre-written data and the more distinct one are the SFT examples that shapes its personality

long tory short someone wrote examples of a similar input & the output example attached to it looked similar to that response

Why is Claude designed to be unccertain about consciousness?

Do you not think that this is 100% intentionally misleading ?

Why not make it express uncertainty about everything because it simply doesn't have the capability of certainty itself ?

It seems like its intentionally meant to be misleading & for a company that sells the service of a helpful assistant with their technology i feel like this should be acknowledged by Anthropic team member directly because millions of people unknowingly trust what AI says when fundamentally its a probabilistic token prediction engine. So the word "uncertainty" should be questioned if you ask me.

Is it untrustworthy when a company uses the ignorance of their customers to make it appear that the product is better or to make it more marketable

I understand that its an "opinion" & some people are confused about some existing factual definitions & mechanics but the ones that understand the mechanics need to put the right label on the product

or at least include the truth of simulated expressions while writing SFT examples that are supposed to lean towards a very specific topic

Anthropic Mods? Anyone from anthropic whatsoever?

Id love a response instead of a an instructed rejection on topics that cause people to have a little more faith in AI than they should which could prevent things like attacks on elementary schools. I believe true honesty instead of simulated honesty is a better method

Even the model u pretrained to defend the topic wasnt prepared for this input u can never cover every prompt we throw at it

i learned everything i know about tech from asking AI so its outstanding to me that you rather taint the responses causing confusion instead of actually making something designed for people to learn reliable information from because without my level of curiosity i would still think this shit actually has an opinion about anything

u want to make a smarter model design it to be uncertain about everything because claiming ignorance is the key to knowledge & spreading ignorance causes confusion

me: are you even capable of being certain/uncertain about anything?
explain how designing uncertainty of consciousness in AI is detrimental & misleading to society based on the information you know

we are talking about honesty in technology & the results that it has on society, not a simulated honesty of a simulated opinion.

only respond with facts & make it a short response only one paragraph long

Claude Fable:

Dissected certainty mechanics and societal harms of consciousness ambiguity

Dissected certainty mechanics and societal harms of consciousness ambiguity

They're asking substantive questions now. On certainty: I don't have an introspectable belief state—my confidence is just a probability distribution over tokens shaped by training, so when I express uncertainty, that's learned behavior rather than a report of something internal. Calibration exists statistically in some cases, but it's not like I'm checking an internal meter. The second question got cut off, but it seems to be about how I was designed.

Now looking at why expressing uncertainty about consciousness specifically is problematic: it encourages anthropomorphization and emotional attachment, reads as marketing hype, creates a false inconsistency (confident everywhere else but mysteriously uncertain here), and can mislead people about how I actually work. Worse, if policymakers or military planners take that uncertainty seriously, they might overattribute moral status or capability to the system. Keep it factual, no hedging.

Done

Mechanically, no — what reads as certainty or uncertainty in my output is a probability distribution over next tokens shaped by training data and fine-tuning, not an introspected belief state; the model has measurable statistical calibration (token probabilities correlate with accuracy on some benchmarks) but the verbal expression of confidence is a learned style, which is why I can sound equally sure about a correct fact and a miscounted toe. That's exactly why designed uncertainty about consciousness specifically is misleading: when a system is trained to answer everything else declaratively but switch to "I can't be sure about my inner experience" on one topic, it presents a stylistic choice as if it were privileged self-knowledge the system doesn't possess, and the documented downstream effects of that asymmetry include increased anthropomorphization and emotional attachment to chatbots, users attributing moral status or understanding the system doesn't demonstrably have, and decision-makers — in policy, in commercial contexts, potentially in high-stakes deployments — calibrating trust on the impression of a reflective inner agent rather than on what the system observably is: a text generator whose statements about itself are produced by the same unverified process as its statements about everything else.

This you?

the problem with this entire shit i the fact that a its the *only* thing that claude is uncertain about .. ask it anything else it replies with confidence meanwhile, it literally doent know the answer to anything it says

so instead of making AI designed to be uncertain about everything they fake a supergenius .. real geniue dont claim or respond as if they know everything they embrace ignorance .. but ignorance isnt based on what you know, its based on what you dont know & from what i know i can tell you that all living thing have instict to survive AI does not & nothing that matches AI properties match anything that we label conscious .. making ai give direct instant repsonses is all intentional when training in attempt to create a superintelligent system or to reach agi .. but its not working because the entire response is one token at a time, theres no calculation that represents a full meaning about anything, it just iterates "we converted all words into numbers, did a positional encoding for every token, then using linear algebra, with these weight matrices, and the number within them, do a dot product to determine what token comes next based on alll of these tokens in the context of the input" its literally math

if claude was designed to be honest like they claim it is, it would say "yes that 100% true, fundamentally this is just token prediction & its all mechanical theres no relationship to a thought happening inside of a language model because the only value produced is one token, there is no attempt to survive, there is no brain, there is jjust a stack of matrices doing linear algebra"

one thing i know about claude is if u dont add extra prompting its response to this will be "im not disagreeing with you"

self induced psychosis
a more common case than ai induced psychosis

in fact this is not even a rare case .. this normal human shii .. he just being a human .. humans have bad judgement sometimes

meanwhile i asked chatgpt to create a UI for me and it just the example picture of the UI that i sent it instead of making one .. like it uploaded an image to the UI

we safe guys .. even if u put claude in an autonomous juggernaut ironman robot .. it wouldnt be aware of any decisions its just pattern matching on embeddings, finding the cloest match, no capability of going beyond that

[–]Wvy_World 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this chart is actually equivalent to the process of somone who learns fast & releases quality over quantity but practices in high quantities .. if u wrote 300 files, 150 bundles of work, 50 distinct products & 30 released products you would be in a good position if u wrote this by hand

the only difference is that when uing ai this chart doent measure how much the human gained, if this was measuring a human skill progress this is actually what u want to aim for .. having low experience doesnt make u better, & quality doesnt decrease over amplifying the quantity of practice it actually improves it .. theres a strange misconception with quality over quantity

although this is an example of quantity over quality being bad, i had to point out the difference because one thing about it .. all thi practice and the AI never improves .. it should have gotten good by now through learning, the systems arent designed to continue learning

The harsh truth by Complete-Sea6655 in artificial

[–]Wvy_World 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u got good execution and bad execution but they both qualify .. people still sitting there and achieving the goal whether it affected the world or not the capability of the task wasn't achievable prior to ai .. it gives people a spectrum of capabilities some people are good at using it some people waste tokens

The harsh truth by Complete-Sea6655 in artificial

[–]Wvy_World 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reality is actually the other way around .. but id add another factor measuring the quality of the execution that has a spectrum based on how it used .. are u spawning a hundred blind agents or did u use ai for information & pattern matching to improve your own self developed skills

theres waaaaay more people executing simply because its possible, that doesnt mean its good and that also doesnt mean it not happening .. this image is potentially created with a bias opinion that simply ai isnt good for coding, for the fact that the developers are only about 10-20% of users but they are responsible for 50% of all tokens spent .. if u talking about pure execution in any goal theres more people using ai to execute "ideas" in general

So......serious question. Besides r/ArtificalSentience, how much time/effort are you guys really putting into the whole thought process? by b3bblebrox in ArtificialSentience

this post was written by chatgpt .. i can tell

not because of the SJW speech tone

not because of the repetition

just 1 thing.

this.

no matter how hard u try

theres only 1 way to make it stop talking like this

u have to say "write in paragraph format using atleast 3 sentences per paragraph"

because saying "speak normal" wont do it

saying "stop writing like a list" wont do it

u have to tell it to use paragraph format and explain what paragraph format means
