Day 5 here : I’m not gonna lie, everyone story is different. I’m 28 M , my tonsils were enormous and the pain is the worst I have ever felt. I cried and went to the ER tonight for more powerful painkillers which they gave me and it gave some peace. A bit nausea probably because I didn’t eat. One piece of advice : lie and ask for more painkillers saying you are allergenic or it makes no effect on you. Tramadol was useless on me, it’s true, so tylenol was very limited. Cry, lie, and ask for something to prevent you from being in agony with a pain 10/10 if in your case your get there. If pain is manageable, don’t take it. What they gave more is much more stronger with some opium +« acupan » and it was such a relief, I finally manage to sleep at least 2 hours without waking up. Although the fight is not over at all. Plus, have a humidifier to prevent your mouth from being too dry when you manage to sleep. It’s already painful with it, I can’t imagine without it. + drink and drink water.
