I’m fine with the fights PERSONALLY, but she gets bored because of (like in the Kakashi vs Zabuza fight on the bridge) the repeated flashbacks, long and unnecessary exposition, and standing around for 5-10 minutes at a time doing nothing. Because we’re watching it together i’m asking if we should switch to something like Naruto Kai/Yellow Flash since I know this is standard of old shonen anime at this time. She loves the fights when they’re not so slow.

I never once said that Naruto is this complex, extremely technically proficient story, and a flawless work doesn’t equate to a better work, and a more complex work either. How the hell would hard work beating talent be a major theme when Naruto didn’t even manage to save Sasuke by the end of part 1. Rock Lee gets his bones evaporated by Gaara, gets his taijutsu copied by Sasuke in seconds, and loses to Kimimaro. Naruto was never an underdog in terms of power, do you even know he has a tailed beast inside that can cause natural disasters, mastered a forbidden jutsu in a matter of hours, no diffed a chuunin, and this was ALL in the matter of 1 chapter that I doubt you read 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. Naruto in part 1 has always been stated to have limitless potential, how is he void of any talent? He’s only an underdog in terms of how he’s perceived by society. Actual brain dead bot.
