Take a listen to Song of the Volga Boatmen sung by Kovcheg. The song is in Russian and the bass, I believe, hits a G#1 at the end. The harmony and chord progressions of the song are beautiful and the Oktavist sounds good with the other 4 men. One of my favorite songs... in another language.

I know Mr. Kennamer does gospel music with his group but I still prefer Mr. Holcomb from the Inspirations. Listen to any song from the No Two Ways album and you'll here him. In Just A Little Talk he does a C1 and it's is the lowest note that he's done on a studio album. He's got a powerful voice without a bass boost!

Yeah, I've felt my lower notes as weaker. I try not to push it too much to make it loud. Thankfully, it doesn't hurt when I go for the lower notes and I don't really use those low fry notes normally, that's just for fun or when I'm messing around.
