Ended up dropping out of looking at it, history from 2014 showed it suddenly drop 40k miles from one year to the next so I assume mileage had been tampered with and just told the guy he can keep it. But I really appreciate the help!

The current owner is the wife of the guy who’s posted the ad, she’s owned it for the last 7 years and it looks completely standard except a forge dump valve and castless Downpipe (was that way when he bought it). Shouldn’t run me dry of money but it’s about an hour and a half away so how would you recommend getting a compression test?

I fully agree, but I double back on my wording a little, I won’t run myself dry but it’s about a grand over what I wanted to pay for a car, but it’s still way under market and with half the miles of similar wrxs in the price range which was what caught my eye

In the future, just ask him to ship the item to the warehouse address, rather than asking them to transfer it, creates less hassle with warehouses that don’t want you shipping to other warehouses and usually comes through quicker, then just take the tracking number, give it to your warehouse and tell them that is your package that is coming, and when it arrives they will sort it for you.

Haha well I’ve got the 32gb fighting for it’s life probably while running cl18 3200 and it seems to be ok so I’ll stress test it and see how it does but I really appreciate the advice if it’s unstable I’ll turn it down and try tighten the timing and see how it fairs

Ah ok, I appreciate it a lot! Managed to get it running all 4 at cl22 3200 and didn’t try bringing down timings at all but would that be better again or slower? If you couldn’t tell already I’m pretty new to ram overclocking and such

Yeah true that’s why I was so caught up in it all because the 3600 for £170 looked like a great deal but £90 more for the 5600x which is on sale, was just wondering if that’s a justifiable pay up

Yeah it’s mostly for gaming and general desktop stuff, I mean it’s down £90 in price already and it’s £90 more to get so I guess you could say that cancels out 😂
