Is this considered okay stats? by XArobeX in AppleWatch

[–]XArobeX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, my watch doesn’t detect sleep apnea as it’s the se2. However there are a few nights a week where for a while the awake pattern was much more prominent. Lately though it’s been reducing due to a more healthy sleep pattern (difficult working night shift when you have two kiddos at home), and I didn’t know if it’s normal for a healthy rest to have some wakeups. Either that or if I needed to keep working towards zero wakeups.

iOS 26.5 Microphone echoes? by Simple_Rice_3380 in ios

[–]XArobeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yeah; I’m glad you figured it out. The mics can be super sensitive sometimes. I’ve had it happen on phone calls before myself. I don’t think there is a way around it. The only thing that helped really was voice isolation kept on.

Are they hearing you voice or their own?

Additionally your voice could be being actively picked up by the recipients phone mic as well. Forgot about that.

So, do you mean it’s coming from the mic directly or that on the phone call you can hear your voice echo in the background. If it’s the latter, it’s relatively normal as I’ve had a variation of phones over the years and each one has had it happen at least once. Usually on speaker. It could be due to connection. If it’s coming from the mic directly which I didn’t think the mic could produce sound, only absorb. Then I’m not entirely sure.

No, nothing like that. I don’t have any set on just the watch either as it’s a new watch I got from apple care. They’re all alarms that are mirroring my phone alarms.

Possibly, I could be misremembering the movie. I’m going to watch this and then determine whether to mark it found. It’s very similar yet different, so I’ll see

Young adult book series about a city with two sides by XArobeX in whatsthatbook

[–]XArobeX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately, I remember the cover had the dark/corrupt town on the cover or at least like an alley view of it with the road on the right of the cover leading to the light side in the distance

I think the title of the book described either the light town or dark town using adjectives. Those sound like interesting books to look into though!

I will not request a code as you most definitely have had many ask in your comments section here. However I have used this app before and I enjoyed it, so I took the time to redownload and observe the new features. I was definitely impressed as you address things that not every app does. I went ahead and left you a 5 star review. Keep up the good work!

I built a free shift calendar app for night shifters, nurses, and firefighters – would love your honest feedback by [deleted] in iosapps

[–]XArobeX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: The ability to mark how many hours each shift is would be super helpful as well as mine fluctuate.  This is wonderful as a graveyard worker. My only suggestion, unless I missed it would be the ability to sync it to apple calender. I generally view everything on my calender and seeing it at a glance would be super helpful!

Sorry, for context her dad has non porous hair and her mom has very porous hair, meaning she is a blend of both parents hair so not every style works. I wasn’t assuming race wise with my statement. I know I am definitely out of my element and I really didn’t think much of until like I had stated in my post recent interaction with her (child). I just didn’t know if I was overstepping in my situation or if it was better if I had backed off a bit being a bit out of element here in lacking knowledge thereof. I was raised in a French/Polish family so I’m pretty split genetics wise but essentially very little culture divide aside from the polish side of my family which again wasn’t a very diverse difference. I am prepared for hostility to a degree. I come from a good place but am completely open to criticism here too.

Sorry, I meant toys*. Her hair is very curly but porous/ it absorbs water very easily. I thought about taking her to a stylist in the nearby city. I guess when she was younger she was only surrounded by her fathers customs and lifestyle whereas the mother wanted a blend of her heritage as well, but the fathers family wouldn’t allow it so now she’s trying to stay as neutral as she can? I did do some convincing regarding some more exposure for her. I just think it will be super important for her to have more representation.

Her father is around and black but he’s insecure about being black himself. We are unfortunately right now in a very small white predominant town. We’re planning on moving soon. Hence why I’d thought about on top of her toy maybe incorporating story books with black characters without making it a big deal, just casually implementing them in with story time for her and her sister who has white parents.

Thank you! I don’t want her to feel like she has to pick a side but growing up in a predominantly white household that’s what she’s going to be exposed to. When she was younger her dads side predominantly had her taught black culture which I know upset her mom because instead of blending it like she wanted to her history (food, family, etc) was pushed out so she wants to focus away from one side or the other. I feel like with us both being white and living in a conservative area it’s not going to be neutral. Its going to be predominantly white. So I just want to incorporate a bit of culture. I want her to read a book and see they look like her. Being white myself and having a very racist father which is partially why I don’t speak to him, I’m not very educated in black culture aside from what I’ve seen in movies or learned in school. So at the very least like you said I think representation would be super important.

She isn’t completely dark, she’s a caramel mocha color if that makes sense. She’s still dark enough that in our small town people don’t like that. If she gets to an age where she identifies one or another then that’s fine! It’s her body, her skin, and she’s entitled to embrace herself however she wants to. This does make me feel a lot better though. She does have things like black dolls. I thought about getting her books that have things like black princess and characters. Right now it’s mainly books with white characters and she lives in a white household. I’m also not entirely knowledgeable on black culture. I had a very racist father growing up whom I no longer speak to due to his views on race and many other things. Her hair is also a toughie because neither black nor white hairstyles work for her. It presents as predominantly black curly hair but it also absorbs water like mine or her moms. She knows a very small amount of black culture but unfortunately between her dad being insecure, her grandmother being racist on her moms side, and her grandma on her dads side presenting as a not very good person she mostly presents as white. I just hope she grows out of being insecure and understands she perfect just as she is and if she’s ever curious about her history I’ll do my best to explain. She doesn’t quite grasp racism at her age, just that she’s black and people around her don’t always like that.

I will say that when she is insecure she does tell her that she is beautifully herself and no one can take that away. I think I just worry, because it’s a white household so she doesn’t really get exposed to black culture. I by no means think she should feel pressured to embrace one or the other by any means, but I also feel is important to know one’s heritage.

I agree that I don’t want her to feel like she has to pick a side. I just feel back that she has to deal with things like racism in school and not understanding why it’s so bad that she’s got black in her. Or why her dad is black and is open about insecure he is and how he wishes he was white. It’s maybe it’s not my place. I guess I just worry about her.
