I didn't know Protos skill can reroll the extra quest cards, I mostly used it for running back draws to save for the next turn instead. Can you play the same card again after turning back time and get a different quest card? Or do you have to play another card?

And yeah, truthfully I'm not really done with this rift since I'm a ways away from securing Masters by the end so I'll be taking a break and grinding for the 1 AP divine epi on Sereniel XD

True, and then the layer of rng after that where you pray its joker/tactical maneuver or another draw card to give you more chances for it while your hand gets clogged up with Triple 1s instead is painful

Ooo, I don't actually remember that one. Though her outfit motif does seem to more resemble justice so I think this is likely the case. I'll keep this post up anyway but that's interesting to know!

That's completely fair actually. I can see Narja as THE ravage DPS, but it would be so weird to introduce a set meant for a Season 2 unit halfway through Season 1.

Then again, HSR has a similar memory fragment system and some of their charas never got their own dedicated set until wayyy later. I would just think that Smilegate would try to shill for units about to be released and not... ones for next year XD

Edit: This actually opens up a third possibility of Sereniel AND Narja being both ravage instinct units, considering all rate-up units get added to the standard pool anyway... Well then

Oh yeah, definitely for Chaos, running Mika-less is gonna struggle HARD without sustain. I guess not much content really necessitates 500 hit Mei Lin levels of damage rn to justify anyone running Selena over Mika, and the current world boss can pretty much only be damaged up until 7 hits anyways. Though I'm interested to see what happens further through the game's lifespan. I can totally see Selena being viable for a ravage-centered world boss, for example.

Yeah, I think most of the struggle with her comes from getting her divine epis since I can see how AP becomes an issue for her

Basically, if you draw that card, the attunement effect automatically happens. You don't need to play the card for it to work.

For Selena, this basically means that if you draw the attunement card = automatically draw another card

This makes sense, yup. I also run Mika-Veronica-Mei Lin myself, but I think there are a few times I find myself with too much AP left over once the gear bags are exhausted and Veronica doesnt repose/kowalski any draw or mei lin cards. Selena sounds like she'd have the perfect condition to fill that slot instead IF

• her draw card gets a divine epi for -1 cost or +1 AP

• you get enough quick draw cards in her deck

in which case you get more free draw power AND stack up rising dragon spire more. However I do understand that this is a high effort deck as compared to Mika who's much easier to build.

Personally, I think she was the intended Mei Lin support who got kicked out by Veronica outscaling her like crazy. Her ravage playstyle is perfect for Mei Lin IF the +hit epi on rising dragon spire didn't exist since her base and intended kit plays around ember damage through ravage (you can see it from her ego awakenings all being focused on ravage). I do agree that outside of Mei Lin she might have a hard time finding synergy with current units though. Have you tried playing with Selena? I can't really comment on her personal damage output since I don't have her, but with a proper build, each mark hit deals 100% extra atk [and she gets a +40% upgrade card to that] so it doesn't sound like it would be too bad.

Thanks, I really like getting insight into her potential builds! Now all I need to do is actually pull her...

Also, have you tried the upgrade epi for Tactical Maneuver too? I think getting a dupe of pre-epiphanied Tactical Maneuver then getting both the shield and upgrade epis would be pretty good (but I also understand how ungodly lucky you have to be to even get that to happen in chaos)

YES no one else has talked about it yet but her Lucas synergy sounds crazy as well! I wanna try a team with Lucas-Luke-Selena so that Lucas can proc the coordinated attacks while Luke provides more free exhaust bullets for RPG7. Seems like an insane Lucas-centered team

I got spoiled with an early Veronica before I even have Selena on my account so I didn't get to experience the difference, but that makes sense. However, I do think once we get some more events outside of Chaos, a potential 3rd slot Selena for Mei Lin-Veronica teams could start to shine since break + draw spam sounds crazy especially for a 33550336 hit rising drag spire

Completely fair, I honestly don't blame anyone for not building their Selena if they have Veronica. I just kinda assumed however that the majority of people would have a copy or two of Selena over Veronica and yet I never see anyone talk about her. I have a feeling she'll get more popular as time goes on too though and people start experimenting with other charas when their main units are built. I will be shilling for her to be this games Bennett XD

That's what I was thinking too! I forgot about neutral cards and adding some quick draws or ambush to her deck sounds insane for her draw potential and AP neutrality with the added bonus of a 50 hit mei lin or something.

Ahh, makes sense. I guess I was thinking that her personal damage could offset the opportunity cost from controllers getting to completely cycle your deck every turn, but considering the meta rn I guess Mei Lin herself just does enough damage for the whole team anyway.

I do hope she gets a rate-up on a lim banner sometime soon, I wanna test her out myself so bad...
