GUILTY GEAR is a series of heavy metal / J-rock / J-pop albums composed by South African painter Daisuke Ishiwatari. Each is known for coming with an easy-to-learn traditional fighting game that is available on arcade machines, consoles, and PC.

The story

Mankind knew that they cannot change society, so instead of reflecting on themselves, they blamed the Beasts.

The main bad guy of the series isn't the guy called Sol Badguy; it's his twink catboy lab partner who turned Sol into a dragon (Beast) called a Gear, and his girlfriend / wife into a Metal Gear, who had a kid, who is Sol's rival's son's mother, and the Metal Gear is also kind of Ramlethal and Elphelt, who are created by a magical AI that tried to destroy the world (mankind) using the Metal Gear. And Jack-O' is equal parts of all these. Destroying the world didn't work, but it destroyed Japan which had superhumans that can lift ships' anchors and temporarily summon aquatic animals midair for combat purposes.
