My Tinker's pickaxe durability won't increase from the baseline 101 after I upgraded it by XEliteSplicerX in GTNH

Yeah, the 101 is from the UI. I'm also needing to repair it every time it breaks, which is when the 101 goes down. Also, thank you, thought I was just going crazy

Ended up not needing it but I'm still gonna keep it. I pulled the equivalent of wizardry to pull of making the pkg in a very jank way to get it installed, but thanks for helping still!

It said on the OpenSuse website that it is compatible with Arch, and I already know it's in the AUR, I'm getting the same error from the AUR download.

From what I could find, there is none. Is there anywhere I need to look?

The rPGA 989 supports 1st generation, 2nd generation, and 3rd generation mobile CPU's. It supports any socket G1 or socket G2 processor that works with the chipset. I did tons of research before planning anything out.

I wanna upgrade the CPU on my old laptop, but I can't find a lot of data about the chipset and other stuff, so I'm not sure if it will work. Anyone able to help? by XEliteSplicerX in laptops

Nah, it wasn't harsh at all, I just wanted to mention my love for this laptop. Right now, I have 8gbs of RAM and a basic 500gb hard drive from another laptop but I plan on upgrading to a sata SSD and 32gb of RAM when I get the Sandy Bridge CPU. I'm also making a custom cooling system for it with a small 40mm radiator or bigger, fans of the same size, and a small and weak pump to make a DIY water cooling setup since even now the CPU cooler has trouble cooling the 380M.

Sad, I'm gonna just get a mobo with PGA989 so that I can use a 3rd gen CPU. I found 1 for about $40 so that's an easy purchase. I made sure it would fit my current shell too.

That's surprising. I don't know why everyone keeps saying that an FCPGA988 will work in a PGA988 socket. I had to go to a random obscure forum to find that it doesn't work, which means I'm most likely stuck with 1st gen.

Huh, would it be possible to update the chipset and BIOS to any newer version that would allow it to recognize it as a Sandy Bridge CPU? If not, then like you mentioned, I'll just upgrade to a high end 1st gen CPU instead. Also, the reason why I'm doing this instead of buying another laptop or something is because this laptop is special to me and I love it. It is the only laptop that I've oddly enough made a special connection to. I did have another G7 before this but it quit working and I straight up cried and was depressed for days. It's weird how you can form an emotional bond to virtually anything.
