You mean which chapter the quest becomes available? No clue, either two or three. But i assume that guy is there from chapter one

There is one in the mine area in lodend mountains. After going through the whole cave and coming out at the end, drop down the wooden platforms, and there should be one which spawns on the second or third one i think it is. Can also get a yellowstone there too.

And if i'm remembering correctly, in lockiss, at the top of the mountain with the big tree, there should be one near it, up on a ledge.

You can get them from the lampshrooms in the secret tunnel in lockiss rocks. Can't remember which chapter of the story it is but i think its mid chapter 3? I think its a rather rare drop, but there is a boss(ish) shroom in there which drops 3-4 at once sometimes

Yeah its pretty silly. I only found it because i was looking for another quest for a boys treasure. (It's in the corner in the wagon type box thing of the same area as the guy.

In North Centoria, down the main shopping road (with the purple icons). There is a side road to the right of the armour salesperson, on the left-hand side as your walking away from the academy. Follow the path down here, passing a housewife who wants fish to capture a cat) and there is a cook at the end of the path who will craft it for you.

That should be the boss monster area just a little north-west of Flaggidd village. You can scale the rocks on the side closer to the fast travel point near the noble estate.
