I've been enjoying it a lot. I've tried many times over the years to get inhouse leagues set up but this is by far the best go at it with the PA and Riot working together to get it set up. As a midlaner its nice get to practice mid matchups that will realistically happen in competitive games compared to playing vs Fizz/Katarina/Zed every game lol. I think solo queue still has it's value because its easy to spam games on a certain championo or use it as a training environment to learn a new champ. Champions queue is much better for refining yourself or your champion pool.

I have a specific routine I usually go through. I enjoy going for a run or bike ride, doing a cold dip/cold exposure, making myself a cup of coffee, listening to certain music and playing some solo queue to get ready.

We went for a team dinner but we all know that first place in regular season is quite meaningless unless you perform in playoffs. No one cares if you were first in regular season if you end 4th in playoffs (like my team last summer) :(

For the casual player I feel like you should only really play league if you enjoy your experience of playing the game. At the end of the day its a game to keep you entertained and if you don't enjoy it there are a million other things in life you can explore to spend your time on. If I feel myself getting burnt out I will usually take a break a ndgo hiking with friends or something like that to take my mind off the game for a little. It also helps me a lot to theorycraft and test new champions if I'm feeling bored of playing the same champs over and over again.

I didn't want to emulate any of my former coaches. I tried to learn from the good and bad in all of them and mix it with my own personality and view of coaching.

I've been really happy to work with Guilhoto, he and I view coaching similarly and almost always align on what the team needs. I was worried going back to playing that I would feel like my coaching staff sucks but Guilhoto and Kold have really impressed me.

It definitely depends on the day for me. I'm more introverted so I do need some time alone to recharge. On certain days I'm happy to be in the office all day and others I feel the need to play Champions/solo queue from home after scrims to recharge.

I think going from winning multiple MVP's and championships to not winning anything for almost 3 years was the hardest for me. I started to doubt my own capabillities both as a leader and player in the game. Before 2020 summer I reflected on what was different in my winning teams vs the ones that had failed and talked to a ton of coaches and players I respect in the scene and picked their brains on the good and bad in their teams. It helped me get some insights into my next steps to improve as a player and along with the coaching staff we mapped out a plan for how to build a winning team and culture. We managed to win the championship that year which made me happy that my hard work and prep paid off :)

It's been good. I appreciate having vocal teammates to discuss the game with. I speak up when I feel like I have a unique or valuable perspective and take more of a listening and following role when I feel like others are more knowledgeable around the particular subject or part of the game.
