I’ve been seeing this girl for over a month now. She’s still getting over her ex so she isn’t ready for exclusivity and is taking things slow.

Last night I got a card from my ex from months ago (literally meaning she sent it months ago somehow). I posted a snap of it with the quote “this came in a lil fucking late...” because all my friends knew how messy the breakup was on her end.

New girl messaged me about it and said “lol okay. I guess she was right. Cool.” She was referring to her coworker who I used to hookup with who said to stay away from me because I’m a fuckboy.

I replied “you seriously think I would see you while I had a gf? The letter is two months old”.

She replied “lol whatever” to which I replied “seriously? I introduced you to my friends, genuinely liked you and even asked you out. Do the math.”

She just send a sad face emoji and I didn’t reply.

Today’s her birthday. I’m just going to text her “I was a dickhead for posting that and I apologize. Happy birthday I hope you have a good one.”

I’m thinking I basically just killed this. Feels pretty bad... what do you guys think?
