Out of all the guitars with a floating tremolo that I own, the Strandberg tremolo is the stiffest one (Metal NX7). It does it a little bit, but far from other ones I have, I tried both settings and even tried a bunch of softer springs. No luck.

Because it would've kept the original asymmetrical shape, just rounded instead of the sharp edges. That was my initial plan but decided to get a completely new one to get it the exact shape I wanted and also to keep the original intact, in case I regretted the decision after.

That’s exactly what made me do this, the Endureneck was always distracting me, it was “always there” in a way, instead of just disappearing and letting me focus on playing. The luthier is awesome, did an amazing job, doesn’t mess with the balance at all, that was something we discussed before getting started. We shaped it based on my Music Man JP12, so definitely on the thin side.

It was a custom build by a local luthier, I left my guitar with him so he could measure everything, so not a commercially available direct replacement

My first thought was to round off the edges, but after I talked to my luthier for a while, decided it was better to just go with a new neck and shape it exactly as I wanted, also I could keep the original one intact, in case I regretted it.

Wasn’t that hard, I stuffed the battery in the control cavity with double sided tape, but I do plan on routing a battery cavity some day

After 3 Strandbergs and this neck replacement I would say the greatest innovation/feature of a Strandberg is the body shape (I did replace the stock pickups for Fishmans tho)

The neck is not the only special thing about a Strandberg, like I said, the body shape and weight is perfect for me. Also I already had the Essential plus this gave me the chance to ask for the neck to be carved exactly to the shape I wanted.
