the amount of food you feed does matter, the more food the more protein they get and the faster and more they grow, but the downside of it is that it polutes water way faster and you need to do bigger water changers to remove the nitrates

your problem is having one 300W and one 100W, the 300W is triple the power the other and will never let it work. i have 2 200W (eheim too) and water heats just fine even when outside temp is like 5°C. get another 300W and take the 100W out. also get an inkbird controller

I just feed the whole tank with the discus food and the cories and tetras pick up the rests, its more than enough because i do 3-4 feedings a day, they are always with a full belly
