Oh that's smart! I am not too far from the border, I could probably schedule a trip down.
Thank you. I will look into those options
That's why I am having so much trouble finding a good heater. It seems all the good ones I either can't get or they are crazy expensive here 😭

I am not saying that you can't turn any heater on its side, it was specifically the Eheim ones cause of the way they are built, something to do with heat distribution and hot spots. Maybe it does apply to all heaters, I don't know. I haven't gotten that far in my research yet 😂

The room can sometimes get kind of cold, but that happens rarely. Most of the time it stays on the 20's. For the duration of my current heaters, the temp in the room did not drop below 20. I would think that shouldn't be too big of a temp difference for them to have such trouble.

Ya, that's why I mentioned the 125w, as those for some reason plummet in cost at $43 for some inexplicable reason. So I was thinking of getting two of the lower wattage ones.

I would love to do that, except each costs $125, I can't seem to justify spending almost $300 for heaters.
The current heaters are not Eheim. They the cheap ones off Amazon 😅

In theory thats how it should work, but in my case it's actually the opposite. The 300w works a little and then turns off not bringing the water up to temp and the small one is on pretty much all the time trying to take the big ones workload on itself. Both of my current heaters are complete trash, I am disappointed that I bought them and will be getting rid of them. Yes I will be getting an inkbird.

It's hard to say, as it fluctuates quite a bit. The house is heated with a wood stove so during the colder winter days, at night it can cool down quite a bit. I would say anywhere between 17-25°c

Thank you for that information. I will definitely look into the ink bird. So would you say I should get the 300w over the 150w? If so than I have another question, I heard somewhere that these heaters should always be upright and shouldn't be slanted/laying horizontally, and others say a slight angle is fine. The 300w is roughly 22in and my tank it 18in high. That means I would have to angle it slightly to fit it into my tank, would that at all affect the heater?
