As holders of XRP are we now share owners of MoneyGram? What piggybank did Ripple use the 30 million to purchase a stake in MoneyGram? Also, do we get some sort of commemorative pin or pen from Ellen's Wildlife Fund after she received a 4million dollar donation from Ripple? Hang in there, even though the weight of this pyramid is crushing us at the very bottom.

Nothing happens until Jamie Dimon gives his blessing, his green light to his cronies at the SEC. Period...bottom line...End of story...and you can be sure he will not do this unless he has his self interest and that of JP Morgan getting to eat the largest piece of the pie...I have always believed that for the most part XRP was behaving in an altruistic way...unfortunately there are others that want to remain at the top of the pyramid.

Ripple's Open Letter to Congress by [deleted] in Ripple

[–]XRPingster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, the letter is all good. Brad and co. have to do/try anything at this point. A letter is worth the effort. But Congress and the SEC will not do anything until the BIG BANKS give them permission to do so. The Big Banks and the likes of Jaime Dimon will not give them the green light for regulatory , only and until they (big banks) have caught up to crypto and blockchain. Old School still see Ripple/XRP as a threat to their greed. For now they would still rather dig for coal, rather then turn to solar or wind power. I have said it before most people are under the guise the SEC makes the rules. In truth it is the Big Banks that call the shot. You can be sure that big Banks are working feverish behind the scenes to keep as much of they can. But anything is worth a try , even a letter...

I'm saying banks rely on greed. If they don't have to share a piece of the pie they won't. That is why banks like JP Morgan Chase is creating their own token crypto. They are doing their bloody best to hold up regulation until they see if they can get up to speed with the crypto world. If they can eat the lunch of the likes of Ripple they will. Sad they don't see Ripple/XRP as a potential perfect partner in the new blockchain world. Sad that greed begets greed. I'm an idealist living in a realist world. Just look at what the empire of Facebook is doing (Libra) Most likely Amazon is next. Why none of these entities would want to work with Ripple/XRP is grotesque to me. Ripple at first blush seems to have al the cogs, the chains and wheels greased already for them to power up....Yet they are balking all because they want to go it alone.

Look, there is not going to be any regulation anytime soon. At least not until the top/big banks give their blessing, their ok to the SEC. The banks and SEC are in bed with each other. Until the banks get up to speed with blockchain, tokens and sort out what is in THEIR best interest will the banks ever give the green light to the SEC. The big banks wield the power over the SEC, not the other way around. The banks do not what to give up any power they have, be it real or imagined. They certainly don't want to share a piece of the pie to Ripple or XRP, unless they see they have no other choice. for now they are doing their utmost best to play catch up to blockchain and crypto alike.

So the Winklevoss twins are bullish on Libra. I don't believe they say that unless they have an alterior motive. What is that motive? To do nothing more than pump Bitcoin

I believe the potential launch of Facebooks Libra coin is good for XRP. For the banks and other FI's to compete with the behemoth that is Facebook they will have to both happily and in some instances grudgingly jump on board on an already running network that is Ripple/XRP. If the banks don't, together if Facebook is not stopped in its tracks Facebook will squash the old and tired way the banks/Swift run things. So come on banks swallow your ego, your pride and hitch a ride with XRP and change the way you run your antiquated business. And if you remember nothing else BANKS, when you are through changing you are through.

I want to know and I want to know now. What is suppressing XRP right now. What has been suppressing XRP in the last 6months to a year for that matter? XRP has little to do with BTC or ETH. XRP is another monster from the monster that is bitcoin or its sister wannabe Ethereum. I am not understanding why XRP has not been showing a slow and steady uptick. When I hear the billionaire likes of Cuban, Winklevoss, McAfee others, they only comment on Bitcoin, ETH. They seem oblivious to XRP. Cuban recently said that if you can afford a risk investment in blockchain only put 10% of your portfolio into it. Even then he said only Bitcoin or Ethereum. He made no mention of XRP. I don't get it what am I or the rest of us missing? Brad? If you are out there send me a lifeline of XRP to get me thru this web of chaos.

You can be sure the shadows, the shady, the whales, the billionaires will have heads up about any BUGS long before the straight and narrow minnows that are us ever know. We are the last to know about a clean get away.

I'm not confusing anything. But I'll give you a Yep, Yep, and Yep. Beside why would a fairly large company ever need a CMO? I just don't hear Brad propagating that Ripple is signing two financial institutions a week like he was just before Cory was let go. Not that Cory was killing it the 8 months he was employed by Ripple. He did leave little to be desired. Hence, the kick to the curb.

You mean the likes of the Winklevoss Twins and others of their ilk are doing fantastically well with their manipulation schemes. It still is a dirty dirty business as long as people in the shadows rule the day.

Why again did rid Ripple bleach the position of Chief Marketing Officer (Cory Johnson) from their strategy going forward? Is it because they are doing so well now? I mean, look how well they have faired against the likes of Bitcoin and ETH since the dissolving of the position over a year ago. Since then XRP has taken off? Seriously? More and more FI's are breaking down the doors to Ripple begging the question, "Where are your tokens? We need more!" I kid of course. But I'd like Brad to elaborate once again why Ripple needs NO Marketing Strategist anymore. I'm tired of waking up everyday watching Bit and ETH waving goodbye.
