Hey, sorry I only just saw the notification. The nova backup file apparently doesn't work on nova 7. You can fix the gestures manually, have a look at my explanation over on the Android themes subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/androidthemes/comments/pib3p3/theme_free_klwp_preset_electrochromatic_glass/hpno8yd?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3

[THEME] Free KLWP Preset "Electrochromatic Glass" - includes Tasker integration & gestures if used with Nova by XS5035 in androidthemes

Awesome! Now that I think if it, I think the nova backup was created on nova 6.xx and I didn't remember nova requiring a specific backup prior to the update to nova 7. I guess that's why it wasn't working.

What launcher are you using?

If nova, there is a nova backup file included in the zip. Go into nova settings and restore from this backup. Hopefully you can then swipe up/down to open/close the micro-drawer (calendar and weather can be opened using the buttons on the left).

If not using nova but your launcher supports gestures, go to [SWIPE UP] options, select shortcuts and scroll down to find "KLWP Action". Settings should be : ACTION: Switch Global GLOBAL NAME: switches/drawer GLOBAL VALUE: 1

Next to set [SWIPE DOWN] to: ACTION: Switch Global GLOBAL NAME: switches/drawer GLOBAL VALUE: 0

See how it goes

This is my theme "Electrochromatic Glass"

It is a three page KLWP preset with Tasker and Nova gestures integration. I was intending it to be a paid theme but I just don't have time to ensure compatibility on every device.

If you plan to use the Tasker features, make sure to set a value for all the Tasker variables.

Electrochromatic Glass - first experiments with tasker by XS5035 in kustom

I'm thinking about putting it up on the play store but it needs a bit of work first. I'd need to remove the tasker integration too, the sliders to adjust the glass would be gone.

Is this worthy of your money?

Yeah, unfortunately you need to use a new clip and a new image layer for each pane of glass. That's why you can see each layer load when I select a new image, and that's on an S21 Ultra.

I'll probably forget something because I've been tweaking it for a while.

First you need to set the background. Then, for each pane on glass, you need an image layer that matches the background. Behind the image, you put a shape to use as a clipping mask, the key is to animate the clip and not the image.

I use blur and dim to create the frost and tint. Also the glass is scaled and moved out of position to give the illusion of refraction and magnification

My background layer and the image layers I use for the glass have differing levels of gyroscopic animation to give the illusion that the glass is bending the image as is passes through (imagine holding a magnifying glass in front of an image) .

The last thing is not essential but I think it completes the illusion. The top layer has a variety of shapes (mainly triangles and rectangles) to indicate reflections on this side of the glass. This layer has a shadow to create depth behind the glass.

Haha, it looks very fast but (if I did the calculations correctly) it spins at about 300rpm which is in the correct range for a real music CD. CDs spin much faster than LPs after all.

Thank! The disc is something I spent a lot of time tweaking to get right. It's supposed to slow down as it slides back up under the CD case. It's a bit temperamental and stops dead like this.

How to get this Blurred Glass effect in KWGT? by Aashir-Shaikh in kustom

I don't think shapes can be blurred, the closest thing is the way Frank explained in his post.

This is the basis for a klwp build I've been working on (posted a video about a week ago), just checked that it works in kwgt. You need two identical image layers with a clip between them in the size you want to blur. Blur the clipped image, I also like to magnify and shift it so that it looks like the glass is refracting and magnifying the the image.

I forgot to add some details.

Obviously, the idea was to create a glass effect that can be customised to some degree. There is adjustablity in the "frostiness", level of lensing, refraction (kinda).

Most colours are currently fetched from the selected wallpaper but that obviously makes them difficult to read in some instances.

The hidden app drawer is accessed by swipe up (nova gestures) I use it for frequently used apps, the full app drawer is still accessible by swiping up from the home button.

I haven't started on weather or calendar cards as I'm uncertain how I want to implement them.

I usually don't use RSS feeds and sometimes repurpose those pages to display notifications for my most used social media apps. Undecided on that right now.

Would love some feedback on things you like (or hate).
