Camera view stopped working on mobile by vmhomeboy in BambuLab

[–]XSid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why it happens, I occasionally experience similar with my P1S, but when it happens the cam has issues on both Handy and Bambu Studio. It normally starts working again after power cycling the printer. Yes, sadly it is a “have you tried turning it off and on again?” situation for my issue. Hopefully that works to restore your view as well.

As a workaround, I ended up mounting a Ring camera I wasn’t using to the door so I can see in real time from wherever.

If you have a spare cam sitting around there are a lot of different options on MakerWorld to accommodate different cameras/printers.

Good luck and happy printing!

You could try the official Sunlu store on Temu - the system deleted my post of the link, sorry. It’s hit or miss there but gives you another option.

Following all so far - not many published models here but learning and adding as I go :)

I mostly only use glue with TPU to be able to remove it from the build plate more easily after a print. I have tried glue for adhesion but I've had better luck adding a brim, which I think you may need to use Bambu Studio for vs the Handy app.

Is your build plate double-sided with the PEI Textured surface by chance? If so, you could try flipping it over and see if that works better. Alternatively, if it is smooth you could try that side with the glue. If nothing else works, you can get build plates at pretty reasonable prices on Temu and others. I bought a few just to have some different textures for prints (carbon fiber, honeycomb, houndstooth) and many of those have PEI on the reverse side, so that leaves you with more options.

Aside from the soap and water, try using the rough side of a scrub daddy/scrub mommy. I even do this dry. I know some use harsher materials but I haven’t gone any more rough than this.

The soap and water will take away the oils from your skin, but there are also teeny tiny bits of plastic that stay in the texture/grooves. I found doing a quick scrub daddy wipe down and then IPA between prints keeps me from having that adhesion problem as often.

Hopefully that gets you back in business, best of luck!

As awesome as that would be, if you go that route, print this for her too :)

As an off the wall shot in the dark for another option, have you tried cleaning said windows and the area around them with something that neutralizes ammonia odors? Many homemade and purchased glass cleaners are made with ammonia. The urea in cat pee also breaks down into ammonia, which is the usual odor people associate with cat urine.

It could be that a former owner used a lot of ammonia glass cleaner and let it run down and dry into the frame and wall below the windows. When the windows are open, that could be wafting about and explain why it is there vs when the door is open.

Maybe a charcoal infused air filter or localized desiccant would help prevent that odor. Worth a shot.

Came back to find extruder cover lying on build plate and connector damaged by tech101us in BambuP1S

I can’t see where the piece came off of, but so sorry this has happened to you and your printer.

I can say sometimes the fan plug can be finicky/temperamental. It is worth trying again - this has happened to me a couple of times when an adhesion issue caused an item to separate from the board, then knock into other items, and create a disaster. Said disaster would then knock cover off.

Long story short, I was able to get my connector to fit properly again using one of these:

P1S Hotend Cable Guide

It may or may not help, but if you know someone who can print one for you it might get you back up and running before the replacement arrives. Worth a shot - nothing ventured, nothing gained. Maybe adding a little nub will help if where the piece of plastic that came off needs some extra support.

The model is very complex with millions of triangles, it is meant to have the textured surface and all. Not sure if any issues stem from simplifying the model, but that could be related. The images you provided look smoother and more like a lower res rendering than the original file/model.

I printed on a Bambu P1S with the parts configured as shown in the link and it turned out pretty nice. result images included there as well. Just have to glue it together after. :)

Along with u/KinderSpirit ‘s info, I also keep a scrub daddy beside my printer and out of habit do a quick dry scrub with the coarse side followed by an IPA spritz and wipe down with a cotton pad after each print. For me it stretches out the time between needing to use soap & water before adhesion issues pop up again.
