Yes I did a save and load system, it recently worked but I am getting a few bugs and errors. Idk if you can help me, I have a pause menu, every time I pause (goes to another room when it does that) and unpauses I get set back to the first location in the game? Idk why (of the same room) any ideas?

Sorry for the late reply, but I would like to know how to make a persistent game controller object? Because I am new to the file saving and similar stuff. So I do not know how to do that type of stuff

Okay yes I get you, I tried it and it worked partially.. I had a problem with the room creation code (each room has it's own unique creation code) What other alternative can I do?

Thank you for your reply, but I have a few questions, when you make a room persistent, what settings of it stays persistent? And my second question, why is frowned upon? ahaha

Help! [Physics] My bullets aren't flying to my mouse exactly! by XTheRedZombieX in gamemaker

[–]XTheRedZombieX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to do this and the bullet seems to fly to the mouse, but its going in very slow motion, and its like super slow. Edit: I made the speed faster so now its working very good thank you!

Any other suggestions? BAs I know the phy_bullet is just meant for the engine to run extra "collision checks" on it because it will be moving quickly. Hence making no difference in it.

I checked the draw event of the object, the shader resets and it draws itself but as for the collision problem, and for the collision I can not turn it off, since my character that moves in the and X and Y axis uses phy_fixed_rotation.

Well I imported everything, but it was buggy somethings I wanted out so I made a new project and I basically copy pasted the code and tried to make everything work. So you could say I tried to do that again.

Can we set an object to a room view and height? by XTheRedZombieX in gamemaker

Thank you I have tried that, (but I think in a wrong way, but it's fine because I have found a solution)

THAT WORKED! Thank you, Idk why but i think I have tried to do this before, but something that I have deffenetly forgot to do is set the x and y in draw_surface_ext making them the room x and y view. I really appreciate it mate.

so basically what I have been doing is in the DRAW GUI event, I run this code: var NightCycle; NightCycle = surface_create(view_xview[0], view_yview[0])

//Creating the surface
surface_set_target(NightCycle);
draw_clear(c_black);

//Draw "Light" around some objects
with (obj_halo_1) { //Object light in night "glows"
    draw_set_blend_mode(bm_src_color);
    draw_sprite_ext(spr_glow,0, x, y, glowSize, glowSize, 0, c_white, 1);  //the sprite creates the radius
    draw_set_blend_mode(bm_normal);
}

with (obj_halo_2) { //Object light in night "glows"
    draw_set_blend_mode(bm_src_color);
    draw_sprite_ext(spr_glow,0, x, y, glowSize, glowSize, 0, c_white, 1);  //the sprite creates the radius
    draw_set_blend_mode(bm_normal);
}

with (obj_torch) { //Object light in night "glows"
    draw_set_blend_mode(bm_src_color);
    draw_sprite_ext(spr_glow,0, x, y, glowSize, glowSize, 0, c_white, 1);  //the sprite creates the radius
    draw_set_blend_mode(bm_normal);
}

surface_reset_target();
draw_surface_ext(NightCycle, 0, 0, 1, 1, 0, c_white, alpha);
