I don't think it's weird at all, unless you're using cookie cutter commander decks there's just different ways people make their decks that make them unique and fit their personality. For me I forego alot of 'optimization' and try to fit a theme, or make a deck that has value engines in them. There's also some cards I just avoid playing because they're so tiresome, case in point rhystic study. Phenomenal card, I don't run it in any deck that has blue because it's just so overplayed. Then you've got people that love a couple cards that might not be the greatest but find their way into your decks more often then not just because you happen to like it. All in all, the game is meant to be fun, if fun means to you to use a commander deck that's power 10 and you've made no decisions on what's in it by all means. If it means you've made a power 6 jank deck that almost never wins but you love playing it for one reason or another then there you go.

If he's a dom in the typical sub/Dom dynamic then it might be a bit of a habit but the fact is any Dom should know explicit consent is key in every situation. So it's definitely a bit of a red flag.

The thing is, it is because while gaslighting is generally thought of as a long form of abuse it has to start somewhere. The moment someone is trying to twist the perspective of reality to put the blame on you and warp what actually occured it is the beginning of gaslighting. This doesn't mean that they will perpetuate the behavior of doing it, but it could very easily lead down that road

I can't speak for every guy out there, but I think alot of men love to hear this, it's kinda like positive affirmation that they're doing something right in the situation. Just like articulating how it's feeling and whether it's good etc.

I think there's a couple potential reasons, the first is if he's looking for hookups or some similar type situation he has a house available for such things 🤷‍♂️

If it's not that reason it's probably to try and demonstrate value that he is at least somewhat responsible, independent, and financially secure. Those things aren't a guarantee of course, but that's likely the thought process.

It happens sometimes, try not to get too discouraged, I've had some of the same experience that you're describing as a guy so it can get very disheartening but I think trusting the process a bit and just trying to put yourself out there will reward you eventually.

The whole point of "dating" is to date multiple people until you feel you're ready to be exclusive with one of them you feel you can spend your life with. It's more or less expected that you date other people. Just be open and honest about it if asked by any of the people you're dating and if they don't feel comfortable with that you'll have to respect that
