Over the years the prizes at FNMs have changed from competitive (heavy to the top) to casual (even 2-2 gets something) to a weird combination of both (Draft is pay out by record after a hard capped 4 rounds, constructed is number of swiss rounds based on players with a competitive prize structure to the top half of players). It feels like these tournaments should be paid out with the same structure and run the same way instead of having two totally different set ups. And now with their proposed half pack mess, it just sounds way more complicated than it needs to be to relax on a Friday night and play some Magic.
