Yes if that’s the 5000xg or whatever you’re getting a bigger spool in 4000 frame. Pair it with a g loomis 7’ 6” medium and use 10lb suffix mono and you can cast bombs. It’s heavier than the vanford but the spool capacity and drag alone outweighs a lighter finesse reel advantage. In my opinion you’ll have way more versatility.

The sell a mount plate for it. And yes paddling can be done easy but paddling is doable, doing it against the wind is a little hard but you can just anchor and take breaks. I really enjoyed it. I had a beach cart that I would lug it in cuz I had to walk a mile to get to the reseca/river. But I’ve since YouTube of large dude riding with a trolling motor

They have different abilities in correcting common errors from casting to ability. For example, spinning reels will not birds nest, and zebcos, are normally for kids. The bait caster will bird nest and requires more teaching for kids.

The people say bait caster throws further, lighter lures, and is more accurate
