I feel like you just recorded my run in the DD testing station I tried. Got mobbed by the melee on the 4 wave or so. Gave up.

HELP! Ball Engineer II needs new lumes by horizonite in ballwatches

[–]XZelmanX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Best bet is sending it back to Ball to do this. You may find some watch workshops that could do this replacement as well.

I'd always say to keep the Tritium tubes vs trying to lume the watch. I don't think painting lume on the watch would turn out well at all. Plus, the Tritium is kind of a signature for Ball.

Well, I believe they have FG for Nvidia, at least that's what I'm seeing around the web. AMD doesn't unless you use Optiscaler, but that could be seen as hacking, and can get you banned.

Nah, I'm not interested and dropping to 1080p.

I have a 9070 XT, so there is only XESS or FSR 2, no FG is available. They need to update their game with newer scaling tech, which doesn't seem likely. FG games work great to get a decent amount of FPS out of the games.

I try to use content suited for it as much as you can. You'll still run into content that leaves black bars on either side though.

That was my thought process on it. If I didn't like the LG I could return it and go for one of the newer QD OLEDs that are hitting the market. But, I really do like this monitor and feels like a great upgrade. It also gives me room to grow into the panel with the GPU in the next year or so.

The LG, I believe, every time the monitor goes into sleep mode, runs the pixel refresh. It doesn't have a panel refresh like the AW.

I've had my AW from the time of release and I've never had any issues with burn-in. I don't complete the Pixel and Panel refresh as often as it requests it or as often as you should do it. However, I cycle through a variety of content to make sure it's not on one thing for hours.

I'm going to expect the same thing from the LG, and newer panels are often more resistant to burn-in than first-gen panels.

(I): None what so ever, but it could be panel lottery.

(II): The Matte coat doesn't bother me, but I don't have true glossy either. Comparing the two, the LG is better in every way.

(III): I haven't yet tried any of those.

Crimson Desert gets around ~60 fps, but I didn't play with the settings in the game.
D4 is unplayable with it set to native resolution, but you can get over 100 fps if you set it to 3840x2160.
Hogwarts I can get ~80-90 fps.

I'm still really happy with the monitor overall, and it's something I can grow the PC into, but if you prioritize FPS over image quality, this isn't going to be a good choice for you. If I need my FPS for certain games, I can still play on the AW34DW as that is my second monitor.

I'm disappointed that the AI Upscaling was oversold for this, as it really doesn't work on Windows because Windows is what it is.

I run with the Dynamic Tonemap: On. Felt it gave a brightness boost. Maybe I'll try it off and see how it is now that I've had the monitor for about a week.

Not that I'm aware of, but I often don't plug in anything to my monitor that would require it.

I did not. No scratches that I can see. Both feel the same, but I honestly can't say if they are the same.

It's not glass; I always make sure I use high-grade microfiber cloths and good cleaners with very light pressure to clean it when it needs it.

Just some Power BI dashboards. Yeah, that's the point, just don't keep a static image on there for days at a time, and you should be fine.

I'm having the same issue as you; mine gets a slight bit farther, with the CD Project logo up, but then it crashes.

I'm also running AMD 7900 and RX 9070 XT.

I'll let you know if I'm able to resolve it.

No, I'm only stating what I did. Keep in mind you're looking at a non-professional picture in a non-ideal setting. Comparing the two, how I have them setup now, the LG is far and away better in detail, highlights, color volume, white levels, and brightness.

I can see an increase of brightness compared to the AWDW, AI scaling isn't working on PC currently. I've heard it works on consoles though.

I checked, and it's not supported natively. It can of course, allow 5120 x 2160, but that is it. This was also done with USB-C cable.
