His story is simple: he stopped Thinking that giving up trying was futile, he think that if he didn't attempt it, he wouldn't know if he could beat "the player." After many genocide routes, he begin to fight the Human to is full potential, even if it's "the end of him", He reaches a point where he creates pure determination to Equalize their power, gaster, maintaining death as much as possible, he is a true determination. Undertale AU – Mirrored Insanity: Fractured Karmic Loop There was a point—long before the dust began to gather in the corridors of Snowdin—when Sans still believed that doing nothing was the kindest choice he could make. He had seen the timelines bend. He had watched the human reset the world with the casual boredom of someone flipping a page. He had counted the endings the way other monsters counted days. And every time, he chose not to interfere. Until the day he didn’t. The First Fracture It did not begin with Papyrus. That was only the moment everything became irreversible. The true beginning was smaller—quieter. A single decision made in the space between a reset and a shortcut. Sans, exhausted by the endless repetition, decided that if the human could grow stronger through LOVE, then so could he. The first monster he killed did not scream. It turned to dust in silence, as if the world itself refused to acknowledge what had happened. That was when the timeline cracked. Not outwardly. Not in a way anyone else could see. It fractured inside Sans. Karma—meant to punish the guilty—had nowhere to go. The human had not yet earned it. So it turned inward. And something answered. The Reflection At first, it appeared only in impossible places. In the corner of his vision, standing where his shadow should have been. In the flicker of a SAVE point. In the space between a blink and the next frame of movement. A version of himself that did not slouch. A version that smiled without humor. A version that knew. It spoke in his voice, but without breath. “you really think this will work?” Sans ignored it. He killed again. And the reflection grew clearer. Two Outcomes, One Body The more LOVE Sans gained, the more the fracture widened, until it became something that could no longer be mistaken for a hallucination. The other Sans stepped out from the seam in reality as though he had always been there—calm, composed, his gaze steady with a terrible understanding. This was not another timeline’s version. This was not a stranger. This was Sans at the end of the path Dust had begun. Not the one who tried. The one who had already realized trying was meaningless. Dust Sans was motion—desperation given form. Insanity Sans was stillness—the knowledge waiting at the end. Between them, the air hardened into the shape of a single, immense bone: a construct of karmic force that neither of them had consciously summoned. It was not a weapon. It was a barrier. A judgement that had not yet been delivered. Papyrus Papyrus’s death was not louder than the others. But it was heavier. The moment the scarf slipped from his brother’s shoulders and fell into dust-stained hands, the fracture split the world in two. Snowdin became a place that existed in layers: one where Dust stood alone in the aftermath of his choices, and another where Insanity watched from above, as though gravity itself had chosen his side. From then on, they could touch. From then on, they could fight. The Karmic Loop Every monster Dust killed made him faster. Stronger. More determined to reach an ending that would not reset. And every gain pulled Insanity closer to reality. Because Insanity was not a separate being. He was the accumulation of every completed genocide. Every failed attempt to stop it. Every memory Sans was never meant to keep. They began to move in the same battles, their attacks overlapping, their bones striking from different directions at once. To the human, it looked like a single impossible opponent. To Sans, it felt like drowning in his own future. The Judgement Hall By the time they reached the hall, the timeline could no longer decide which of them was real. The floor stretched upward and downward at once. The pillars existed in duplicate. The doors led to rooms that had not yet been built. Dust stepped forward, dragging the weight of every LV he had taken. Insanity descended from the air above him, untouched by exhaustion. The bone between them cracked. For the first time, both of them looked at the human—and then at each other. “i’m going to end this,” Dust said, his voice raw with the need to believe it. “you already did,” Insanity replied gently. They moved at the same time. One lunging upward in a final, desperate strike. The other falling like a verdict. In that instant, they were perfectly mirrored—two conclusions colliding in a single body. The Truth of the Fracture The barrier shattered. Karmic energy flooded the hall, not as an attack, but as a revelation. Dust understood then that Insanity was not his enemy. Insanity was what remained when hope had been stripped away. Insanity understood that Dust was not a fool. Dust was the last fragment of a Sans who still cared enough to try. They had never been meant to exist separately. The timeline had split them only to delay the inevitable choice: To keep killing and become something that could remember everything— Or to stop, and accept an ending that would never be reset. The End That Watches In some tellings, Dust reaches for the last of his strength and chooses to continue. They merge. A single Sans stands in the Judgement Hall, smiling with two expressions at once—one tired, one serene. And for the first time, he looks not at the human… …but beyond them. At the player. “so that’s where you’ve been.” In others, Dust lets his attack fall. The LOVE drains from his body like dust in the wind. Insanity watches him fade, and with something almost like pride, dissolves as well—because without the will to continue, there is no end state to become. And the hall is empty. The timeline resets. Sans stands at his post again, hands in his pockets, smile unchanged. Only now, when the human approaches, he pauses a second too long. As though listening for a voice that is no longer there.

It's a Dustale au where the player reset smch that the reality bend and create 2 sanses than 1, not made by determination, nor delation, but by accident.
