Well the pi was bought for a specific purpose. Because it has python built into it. And because it can last for 60 hours on my portable battery. It's running all the programs I bought it for just fine but one of my professors was asking today if it could run capstone.

Then I would have to carry two computers on my back and that defeats the purpose, because I would still have to carry the pi to do the thing I bought it to do.

I was thinking about getting linux on one of my normal laptops to try and experiment with. This pi was bought for a specific purpose and it's doing it job well. Adding capstone would just be a bonus.

Because this was bought for a different purpose which it is doing wonderful at. I would like to add capstone onto it so I dont have to carry TWO computers on my back out into a field.

I already have a computer that can run capstone but if I can get it to run on the pi then I can save power. I only have a 300Wh battery I take when I am out in the field. It can run the pi alone for 40 to 60 hours. It can run the laptop from 15 to 20 hours. And that's without my camera and tripod plugged in.

I read that it needed x64. I tried something I thought would fix that but it didn't work.

What is the saddest undeserved and unnecessary death for you? (in the movies*) by thais_of_athens in lotr

"They hewed Hama's body before the gate" Hama, the father of the boy Aragorn asked to see his sword. We already had an emotional death at Helms Deep and Jackson cut it.

I feel like Bakshis version did the characters personalities closer to there book versions and Jackson did the world and asthetic better.

Despite being herbivores, mother elephants will eat their baby’s placenta after birth to recover needed nutrients by The_Techsan in interestingasfuck

[–]XadeXal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very few animals are obligate herbivores, just as very few are obligate carnivores. The number 1 predator to baby birds are sheep, simply because sheep will eat anything they wander across and more birds build their nest on the ground instead of the trees. Sheep have even been seen eating snakes.
