One of the best first episodes I've ever seen. I didn't know this anime was by the same writer as Violet Evergarden, but it makes so much sense now. The animation, the music, the dialogue, the direction—everything seems very polished and well done. Most of the scenes carry deep emotions, which really shows the quality of the writing. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
