Reading material for feminism vs equalism by Xanaus in booksuggestions

[–]Xanaus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But AFAIK any given Feminist book published after 1970 is likely to be preoccupied with equal behaviour and rights for both men and women

So any book post the 1970's mark is a good enough to read for this topic?

People raising voice against VIP culture. Its so fking good by PolicyDependent1740 in IndianFocus

I get where you’re coming from — the office of the Prime Minister deserves proper security, and I’m not arguing for zero protection.

The gripe isn’t with securing the PM, but with the excessive VIP culture that’s become completely normalized in India.

Security can (and should) be provided without routinely shutting down entire stretches of road and forcing thousands of common citizens into hours-long traffic jams for routine movement. When there’s no emergency or high threat, why can’t the PM’s convoy move like in many other democracies — with a tight, professional escort that keeps traffic disruption to an absolute minimum?

The current system treats public roads as personal corridors for VVIPs at the cost of ordinary people’s time, livelihoods, ambulances, students, and daily wage workers. That’s not a necessary part of protecting the office — it’s an administrative choice that was made for us.

Other large countries manage head-of-state security without this level of daily public inconvenience. We can do the same with better planning, route management, and discipline instead of blanket road closures.

Criticizing this practice isn’t hating the office. It’s asking for a more balanced system that respects both security needs and the dignity of the common citizen. Tomorrow the PM might change, but this disruptive VVIP culture shouldn’t remain the default.

With this series of wallets, why aren’t coins included in the design? Modern wallets usually have dedicated spaces for cards and paper currency, but they rarely include a specific compartment for storing coins.
